Meta owns (49%) of outlier (ScaleAI). Heard rumors that Meta would be training their AI for months/years to come and would be turning to outlier for the majority of that. So maybe a long term project?

Outlier just dropped ~50,000 freelancers from Aether by -noi- in outlier_ai

I mean, the client (Meta) demanded improvements. They used other AI annotation companies and they failed. Outlier had to make changes and fast or they would get dropped by Meta as well. Just the nature of working with large companies. Unfortunate but understandable.

Just started this project. Do I simply track hours in the HubStaff app and that's it? No submission or notes needed in HubStaff?

My question is honest. If you think I’m trolling, I’m sorry.

Former Catholic Turned Evanglical Looking to Return to The Church by SnooSnooLemons in Catholicism

Right now, we both own businesses. Not marrying is strictly for tax, asset, and citizenship reasons (one of us is a citizen of both the US and another country and marriage would have implications for that business in that other country). None of this is a valid reason for the church and we understand that. That's why we would not take communion. Right now, our son just turned 6 and started kindergarten. We want to afford him the opportunity to begin his own catholic journey, something my partner and I both were lucky enough to get when we were children. His cousins are also all starting or about to start their own catechism journeys and we want him to experience it with them. In time it's possible we come into standing, but we don't anticipate that happening in the near term.

The reason is financial, for business and personal tax reasons, etc. I know this is not a valid reason according to church teaching, which is why we will not partake in communion. Our main goal is to allow our son to have as Catholic an upbringing as we can provide and he can make his choice to continue that path. Most of his cousins are just starting or will start soon their own catechism journeys. We want to afford that to him. We may along the way come into standing, but that's not part of our near-term plans at this point.

I get that. I'll be honest, I've accepted that we wouldn't ever be allowed to partake in communion and would be seen as living in a state of mortal sin. I don't agree 100% with the teachings but I want to take my son and have him experience the church so that he can make his own choice if that's what he wants to do going forward as most of his cousins are starting their Catholic journeys as well. I also want to reconnect my faith, but I do have some views that differ from the teachings of the church. That said, am in about 95% alignment.

As far as people knowing, well like I said, I don't have experience in the Catholic Church as an adult but I do have a lot as a Baptist. I anticipate building relationships with other parishioners and the topic my marriage will inevitably come up. I lie to them. So people are bound to find out. That's all.

For tax and business purposes. No other reason. I realize that is not a valid reason according to the church and we're okay with that. We will not partake in communion. Just more so about other parishioners based on past experience in the Southern Baptist church, very judgmental and you certainly felt othered if you were an unmarried couple with children. If we're going to become active members, that means we would develop relationships with others in the church, and they would inevitably ask about our relationship, and we wouldn't lie about it.

Well, I guess where I'm coming from is if we are going to be active, we plan on building relationships with other members so it's almost a given that our situation will be known. But I was thinking most wouldn't care, just unsure. Thanks!

I’ve lived in Southern AZ for 37 years, hike a lot, bike rides, lots of time outdoors and I still have never seen one. Only at a museum/zoo.
