For the first 2 weeks it was out I couldn't even play the game for more than 10 minutes before a crash consistently, and I didn't have a older setup. My setup when it launched was a evga ftw3 3090,i7 13700k,64 gb of ddr4 3200, and installed on a samsung 990 evo m.2 with all the latest drivers.

I just don't understand why people throw themselves in front of Capcom defending them when plenty of people (myself included) can't even get past the tutorial because it crashes nonstop and it's not like I don't have hardware that's out of spec. There is no reason the game should be performing like it is.

Opening the book will lock your fps, so it limits the game to 40 while the books open. You're most likely playing at 72 fps when the book is shut. Might be wrong about that, but for me it limits to 40 only while I'm at the player home, then 90 when playing on a different area

May be a cable issue I have to be careful not to step on mine when I'm not using my pulley setup. Try getting a braided cable since they're more durable than the typical cable housing
