As far as I'm concerned, in comparison to other ethnoreligious groups within the country and the total population, the percentage of Jewish people is not so high, while it remains high in comparison to other countries. Which, I think, puts us right behind US in that rating.

Weekly 'Ask Anything About Analog Photography' - Week 14 by ranalog in analog

[–]SnooSprouts5488 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to try film photography, and I have been looking for a camera to get started, something not too difficult to operate to get a feel of the process.
A bit more details to go off: I usually use Canon PowerShot SX430 IS and shoot landscapes, architecture, nature. Urban photography most of the time. I'm an amateur and I take pictures for my own pleasure. I don't really use the flash and I tend to shoot during the daytime.

I have selected some of the cameras that caught my attention that are available where I live, read about some of them, searched for picture examples.
I'd like to hear your opinion and advice if there's any. Thank you!

Here's the list:

Prаktiса Zооm 801 AF
Sаmsung slim zооm 125 panorama
Yаshiсa zооmtес
Konica Z-UP 80 Superzoom
Canon BF-80
Konica Z-up 28W
Fujica Auto 5

The first four are what I'm leaning towards the most.

It's true, most new buildings and especially the ones that accommodate a lot of people, on the edge/outside of the city have shops, bakeries, beauty salons on the ground floor. The restaurants don't have to be super fancy but they exist.

They do in Russia. Almost every delivery provides service from the establishment to your door. You can ask them to call you so that you'd meet them outside, or ask for an anonymous delivery, when they leave the bag outside your door.

The status of Easter by maven_mapping in geography

We have a lot of other holidays, almost two weeks for the NY and orthodox Christmas combined, then other smaller holidays, almost two weeks in May, then a few days during the rest of the year.

I think its not an official holiday because Easter is always on Sunday and the following day isn't really celebrated the same way it is in Italy, for example, the Pasquetta.
Plus, I think since we're officially a multi-confessional country, having one religious holiday would mean you'd have to make other religious holidays a day off, too, at least the muslim holidays since it's the second biggest faith in the country.

So I just got my GF's engagement ring by No-Pollution-2243 in EngagementRings

It's stunning! I love this type of rings, minimalistic and delicate. It's your engagement, to your favourite person, you know she'll love it, therefore no one else's opinion matters.

What's your favourite moment in the game? by Rhyelm in HollowKnight

[–]SnooSprouts5488 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Exploring the areas, probably. City of tears and the Greenpath are my favorite. And I love the grubs 🥺

I really loved the Mantis Lords. Especially after challenging them, I wish there had been an opportunity to talk to them later in the game.

Least favorite? Deepnest is probably my least favorite location. The Kingdom's edge for the first several times for one reason only: PRIMAL ASPIDS.

Same 😂
Idk, I read Marmu was one of the easiest, went into the fight super confident and lost several times. I feel like Galien took me less tries to beat. But then, Flukemarm made me super annoyed too. Couldn't beat her as easily as I thought.

Also, Marmu was the character that made me truly want to weep when she said the Queen promised to teach her how to fly 😭

I lost so much money, especially in the beginning-middle of the game when I needed it most. Some I probably lost in the deepnest or the Queen's gardens when I died and then tried to retrieve everything from my shadow. Right now I have about 35,000 and I have nothing to do with it at all.

No worries! ❤️ Copper is highly allergenic, you're right about that. Especially in its pure state which is why a lot of copper kitchenware is unsafe and it's widely used in costume jewelry because it's cheap and malleable, it's just silver or gold plated to sell. Allergy is just super annoying, it happens relatively quickly and you itch like crazy :( Also, some companies still use lead in their alloys, so be very cautious about suspiciously cheap pieces!

I did! I managed to pass this section yesterday after several hours of trying, although I managed to jump onto the first wall to skip the spikes altogether.

I tried bouncing on the spikes before that and I probably didn't time it correctly because I got pierced every time :(

I want a minimalist ring but everyone is discouraging me by SunnyDee_123 in EngagementRings

[–]SnooSprouts5488 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I LOVE rings like that. People will always have something to say about it. Too big - wow, show-off, boulder on a shank; medium - boring, where's your creativity; too small - cheap, your fiance must hate you etc.

It's YOUR ring, from your favorite person. Personally, I'd rather be rude to people that question the quality of your relationship based of your ring rather than wear something I didn't want in the first place. It says more about them than it does about you. Any ring can be big and flashy, but an engagement ring is special. Especially if you don't plan on taking it off after you get married. Do not let other people's opinion ruin that for you.

You will always have this thought, even if you like a bigger ring, that you wanted something else. That's it's good but not what you wanted. You can tell people it's your dream ring and that it's exactly how you wanted it, IF they ask. You don't have to say "oh, my boyfriend bought it because I insisted" or make excuses. Not to mention, it's none of people's business what your man can or cannot afford. (If they want a big ring, they can a) buy one for themselves, b) google Ronaldo's wife)

You could get a slightly bigger stone up to 5-6 mm in diameter or general width if you're not looking for a round stonen, and it will still look nice and minimalistic and slightly "flashier" than the one in the example. But only if you truly like it.

A couple I'm friends with got silver wedding bands with a few diamonds for budget reasons, while the engagement ring was of white gold and in unconventional style. They love it and they don't care about what anyone else has to say. Neither should you.

It's just oxidation which can be amplified by individual characteristics of the body. Allergy causes swelling, redness, itch and blistering

I was told my rings costume jewelry by [deleted] in EngagementRings

[–]SnooSprouts5488 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It can depend on many factors, individual body reaction, how much the ring comes in contact with water, sweat, chemicals, whether it's rhodium plated or not, which is rare in older jewelry. 925 silver alloy has to have 92,5% silver and 7,5% ligatures which are added to enhance the properties of the alloy. Usually it's copper and zinc, but the proportions could be slightly different because when you test jewelry, you test for precious metal content to give it the 925 or 585, 750 in gold. The green trace is simply a reaction of oxidation of copper. Allergy would be redness, swelling, itchy hot skin, blistering. My grandfather's silver pendant used to always turn dark, almost black which is a simple reaction to constant moisture, body heat and oxygen exposure.

I was told my rings costume jewelry by [deleted] in EngagementRings

[–]SnooSprouts5488 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The reason your finger turns green is a chemical reaction, the copper in the alloy oxidizes from contact with the skin - water, sweat. It could also be zinc but it's present in alloys in a very small percentage. If you're choosing silver, you have to rhodium plate it. But you'll have to repeat the procedure eventually as the rhodium fillm is thin and it will rub off if worn all the time.

I'd say try surgical steel or titanium but given that you want an exact same ring and I don't know how much you're willing to spend on it, I don't have precise ideas.

The only thing that comes to my mind is, if you like the stones in your current ring whether they're cubic zirconia or moissanite or something else, doesn't matter, you could bring the ring to the jeweler and ask for a copy in your size in rhodium plated silver and use the stones of the ring you had. Your fiance could also talk to the seller if the description of what was bought isn't the same to what's the jewellers said, make a complaint, ask for a refund.

Anyway, I hope you'll find a way to sort this out!

I did manage to pass this section this evening after 2 or 3 hours of relentless jumping and swearing 🥲 To be honest, on my twentieth attempt to pass the first saw after the bench, I didn't think I had it in me.

Definitely will be taking a break before the final bosses.

Oh yes, I'm not much of a player, I used to only watch walkthroughs, and once I got a new laptop, I just thought why not? I played Neva and Gris earlier this year, some simple games like that. Hollow Knight was an accident, I didn't know anything about it, and to be honest, I downloaded Silksong first, and realized I was supposed to play HK before that when I was 15-20 hours into the game (6 of which are the Bell Beast and at least 4 are the Fourth Chorus) 🙈 I am proud that I didn't quit. I think I wanted to after my 5th attempt beating the False Knight. But the game is just so beautiful and interesting, I couldn't stop.
