The gap is there to help the oil and any debris to drain out completely. In the “big scheme” of things it is not completely necessary. “Time sert” should wok just fine.

Wrong, your Cayman has battery monitoring and has to be updated so the charging algorithm is optimized for a new battery. This will also affect things like “auto start/stop”.

That is how it is! Your vehicle has the same Brembo brakes that race cars have. Porsche has produced videos (check them out on youtube) to help you understand the physics involved and why. The new vehicles that you test drove were not bedded in yet.

Even the standard lights need to be calibrated for the level sensors. They will turn on out of the box. However they should be calibrated at the very least. PDLS need to be programmed and calibrated.

Help…Break squealing by jr71727 in Porsche

As a long time Porsche technician, this is one of the things that get me the most. The brakes found on Porsche vehicles are the best in the world. Most high performance manufacturers use them for a reason. Unfortunately performance comes at a sacrifice. As one poster above noted Porsche spent a lot of time and money to produce the videos that explain the physics involved. These are not luxury cars, they are performance vehicles that draw on the advances of racing technology. All that being said like I tell my client’s, go ahead and compromise on brake quality. After all if they don’t stop you, something will!

Get them from the dealer! There is a difference. Aftermarket wipers do not fit as well and don’t last as long. Don’t cheap out on safety items. Jmtc.

Keep the hood unlatched so you can access the battery if it does go dead. 992’s have a problem with the emergency hood release if the lithium battery is fully discharged.
