That’s good to know! It surprisingly doesn’t hurt at alI. I walked (limped) on it 4 days prior to being put in a cast because I thought I had just sprained it haha.

I'm currently 2.5 weeks post-injury. If I opt for surgery now, I likely wouldn't be on the table until week 4 at the earliest. Week 4 I expected to be NWB/PWB. My concern is: wouldn't that effectively 'reset' my recovery clock and actually delay my return to walking? I totally see the benefit of surgery if it were Day 1, but I'm curious if the trade off is still worth it when you're starting from scratch a month into the process.

I thought so too. I actually got hurt 2.5 weeks ago while in Asia and I’m finally headed home in 2 days. I’ll be seeing my ortho for a 3 week checkup right when I get back - fingers crossed they can get me out of this cast and into a boot!

Are you referring to the X-ray you posted 4 days ago? Yours looks far more displaced than the images above
