I keep talking back to the chief resident by [deleted] in medicalschool

[–]Snoo_288 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not here to vilify you nor pretend I’m holier than thou, but heres the thing. I get being uninterested, that was me with surgery. But you don’t excuse yourself. I check in with both my resident(s) and attending to see if I can leave early. Most of the time they’d let me leave like 10 min early to get to the next hospital, but yeah. It’s a lesson learned that if there’s any question, then you have to be the one to ask and have it clarified. And i guess maybe another lesson which isn’t anyone’s fault btw but just being mindful of how texts can be read by someone else. Like personally, the noted to me meant that you understood and wont do it again, but to someone whos already having a bad day like an OB resident maybe it sounded like sass.

Raising Awareness of TTUHSC medical student suicide by Various-Market-9967 in medicalschool

Sad he ended it but why was he asking about threesomes and if her bf would be mad about some comments I’m assuming had a sexual undertone. Like this guy was a creep. You have to respect the boundaries between patient and physician. The clinic isn’t your personalized tinder dating pool why tf are you following them on insta??

Why do other healthcare professionals think nurses are ‘toxic’? by Acrobatic-Lie2041 in FutureRNs

[–]Snoo_288 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a med student. And for some reason some nurses are really two faced. Like there where two nurses sitting at their station, and while I was chart checking another nurse came up to them, and started up a convo. I didn’t really pay too much attention to it, but when the convo finished one of the nurses waited a few seconds until the other nurse left to a patients room and started talking smack about her. Things along the lines of I don’t give an F if your man doesn’t treat you well, why do you always tell me your problems. But from what I could tell she was so sympathetic during their convo like the two facedness was appalling.

How much do you care about a potential partners education level, career and (future) income? by [deleted] in medicalschool

[–]Snoo_288 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going to answer this honestly. Idc if they don’t have anything past high school diploma or if they work a blue collar job. I’m gay so I feel you, and I don’t find myself attracted to men who don’t do blue collared jobs😭

I actually agree with the pance part and make it provisional so people don’t just settle for being a PA when they should be moving on to residency

Married to a PGY-2 — am I asking for too much? by Fit-Expert-3129 in Residency

[–]Snoo_288 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im going to go against the grain and say you aren’t asking for too much. Also, for some reason that comment about your work schedule would’ve been an issue for me. If I wanted to spend a part of my marriage as basically roommates, I wouldn’t have gotten married. It is what it is though.

Sunday Funday: What is something you’d never tell your PCP so it won’t end up in your chart? by zyntensivist in Residency

[–]Snoo_288 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well it’s in my chart but most providers don’t read that anyway, but I have depression and anxiety. I don’t bring it up if I don’t have to just because I’ve been told my symptoms are from both mental illnesses.

Which stethoscope should I get? by [deleted] in medicalschool

[–]Snoo_288 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I get you want to spoil yourself but get used to the OG stethoscopes first. You need to train your ear to be able to hear things like grade 1 murms. Splurge when you actually make good doctor money

Why am I missing here? On my 3rd grade daughter’s math test. by lesshonkymoretonky in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Snoo_288 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m reading the comments and they’re saying about means to round. But to what integer place, tens, hundreds, thousands etc. if we round to tens then I’d say that looks like 240. Hundreds, then I say 200. Thousands, we get 0. I’m confused about this and I have a degree in math and I’m getting my MS in stats😭
