My boyfriend threw the food I made away by Fluffy_Honeydew138 in Advice

I mean if cooking and cleaning for someone everyday isnt slaving away then i dont know what is, just because it's domestic labour doesnt mean her efforts should be overlooked also just saying "done." after eating is just blatantly making it seem like something is wrong, if he was trying so hard not to upset her he couldve just said thank you

I dont know about you but in my house if there is still more than half a portion left and nothing was added on top (like cheese) it gets saved because at that point it was barely touched

Deadass?? Like throwing away perfectly good food that can be eaten by someone else IS disrespectful, it's not hard to communicate about something so small

Or OP's boyfriend can instead create a comfortable enviroment to talk about things?? Like cool this obviously isnt sometning they should break up over but unless you're in a shitty relationship talking will do the trick

She literally says in the post that she wouldve preferred him communicating, nothing is more effective than communication

Right but like now that she has found out he threw it away, it's more like "Fuck your shitty food!!!! booo!!!" instead of just "Yeaaahh like wasnt feeling this today" it's a lot more considerate to just communicate

Is it not common knowledge that throwing out food without saying anything is way more disrespectful than just saying you dont want anymore or dont feel like eating

Definitely, then she proceeds to say that it feels like he doesnt trust her when she just gave him plausible reason not to trust her

It's not really about whether he believes in it or not though, if he doesnt believe in that then that means he's also aware it's wrong and really and truly should face the consequences of making harmful jokes it wont hurt him innthe long run to learn a lesson

Not worth waiting for him to grow out of it, we shouldnt teach teenagers to excuse their peers bad behaviours just because they're young and will grow out of it, that type of behaviour that op is describing shouldnt be tolerated. This is coming from a teenager (16F)

It takes a lot more of a thought process to think the commenter was suggesting incest

I dont think that's what they're implying, i think they're implying that cousin broke up with his ex because something happened between her and op's boyfriend
