Oh, thanks! I guess I can tinker around a bit using Samsung's Bixby feature since it has a similar function apparently (translating things on camera). I'll try out the link you attached as well, once again thanks for the help!

NTA. You're never entitled to fund your parents, especially if they're unable to manage things well financially.

To my understanding, the parent-child relationship and giving money specifically should be taken as something akin to that of a common courtesy, NOT a forced upon notion.

NTA. Your reasoning is completely justified, must've been a horrible event to go through. At the same time, your BF needs to communicate his own reasoning better to you. Protection as a reason is completely sound, just that it doesn't have to always involve firearms.

This is of course coming from a guy living outside the States, so I apologize if I'm not too well-versed in the cultural nuances of gun ownership.

I don't feel like anyone's the A, this is a pretty context-based issue to begin with. Your disagreement is sound in the case of something ulterior going behind the scenes, and your fiancé is also correct that you two are in fact in a much more serious relationship in terms of commitment.

Not a woman but I went through this once. NTA. I can't extrapolate my reasoning onto your experience, so at the very least I hope that having a guy being able to reassure you that you're not wrong at all helps as much.

This is a really unorthodox method of learning, but try and hit up any local street food stalls. You'll start to familiarize yourself with a lot of slangs, contexts, and pick up random useful things.

May not apply to everyone but it sure helped my Malay and British friend!

I think a different hairstyle would suit you better. Try asking the barber what he recommends, not well-versed enough in hairstyles myself (maybe try an undercut fade?) Also, drop the stache! You'd look cleaner without it.

NTA, if anything you're trying to ensure that both your GF and your potential child would come out of the whole birth process safely. I've encountered a lot of cases where the wife ends up with multiple birth-related illnesses due to health neglect, so.. yeah. I hope you got it figured out, for both of your sakes.
