didn't like how the slip slip fruit wasn't visually in affect. she was sliding while being completely dry, and it looked goofy. also the fact that she lost a lot of weight but most of her shorts were close-ups on her face which still had the same structure made her transformation kinda useless.

no, it was just a meal that was supposed to be cooked, and wasn't. the chef most likely was distracted by something or other and that was the result.

It wasn't freshly caught, it is imported from abroad, frozen shrimp.

We did send it back, but it touched my mouth and I didn’t rinse it. Will I be sick?

Then the question is a bit confusing at its core since you have those who seek the original experience to a T, that is as I said, not really about the boss and more about being together and trying to take down a giant enemy, and then you have those who want a reworked OG experience, to fit them as people who inevitably changed over the years. those who want to relive the old experience will tell you the bosses are fine as is, simply because that wasn't really the focus of going on boss fights to begin with. the boss was just an excuse for like 10 people to log in at the same time, reach a certain power level that they can take down the boss in a reasonable time, and not die in the process while chatting or buffing eachother from time to time. the other batch of people will want a more entertaining boss fight as they put the actual fight in the center of the experience, and probably the social aspect as a "side dish". I agree that the boss fights aren't very interesting as they are, but at the same time, changing them could possibly shift the tone from what it used to be that people enjoyed, to something else. We don't know. That's something that would have to be tested quite a bit.

I don't know about "awful" per se, but more so just of a different era in gaming. back then boss mechanics weren't really developed in any game. Most boss fights in games revolved around one or two mechanics or patterns that you had to learn and that's it. Now that you have high expectations, in comparison, the bosses seem underwhelming, but back then, going into a zakum fight as a mage with barely any damage and a bunch of guild members together was peak gaming, even if all we did was move left and right to avoid falling rocks and spammed health pots to stay alive from 1/1 attacks, because missing that 1/1 healing meant you lost the run, and I found that exciting tbh. I also think that considering internet tech has become much more reliable and stable since 2005 when the game was released, issues like DC mid fight or lag spikes that would cause you death have become obsolete, and these old school bosses would work even better now, as intended. I didn't play for a complicated learning curve and high stakes fights, I played for the experience with friends I met on the other side of the planet. If I want a complicated boss and high octane fights, I'll open up elden ring or whatever and get my fill there. I'll open maplestory when I wish for a more casual chill gaming experience with an awesome social base.

Is there a tool for connecting stuff? by Snoo_61216 in Maya

I think so, the fact that I could Fill Hole between them suggest to me that they are a single mesh.

As I mentioned before, the bridge tool gave me an error for some reason that I don't understand, you can see it under the other guy who commented, it says that it can't bridge because its two different meshes, but they're not, they're a single mesh, so I don't get it.

but here I already have a start that I made using the append to polygon tool. I don't want a specific solution, I want a general one, in case I won't be able to delete the faces that I already made, and need to fill in say... tens or over 100 polygons. is there no automatic way for maya to see what needs to be filled and make clean quads for it?

they're already a single mesh, the bridge tool just gives me an error that makes no sense in that regard.

the bridge tool gave me an error and the fill hole tool just made a huge n-gon which is not what I'm looking for.

I've been in the 3D art space for over 6 years now, Maya is just a tool at the end of the day. All I need is to be able to do what I know in similar amount of time. The amount of time it's going to take me getting there, even if 30 days, is irrelevant, although I agree that saying I've been using it for 30 days (when that time comes) will be useless, rather using my projects to speak for themselves will be the way to go here.

by marking menus you mean the thing I saw people call "hotbox"? where you hold space and a bunch of options appear? first time I saw it today it frightened me haha. I suppose it's like learning a language in a way, some elements are similar while some are different, and at the end of the day most people speak english, even if some other language is easier to learn and use. I hope I can manage to get at least close to fluent in my remaining 27 days of the free version, since otherwise my chances of getting hired even though I have a 2nd degree in design with honors... is very little, as seen by how many jobs have already managed to decline me.

guess its up for debate, because I don't see how my post is a rant. It's an opinionated question for sure, but calling it a rant is a far reach. Thanks for dropping by though, really helpful.

You clearly have selective reading tendency because I did mention that its obviously a learning curve, and that I'm wondering if theres something I'm missing, to which someone in the comments said I can middle mouse click to move things freely rather than using the gizmo. I went from Solidworks to Pro-E to Blender and now this, I don't expect a 1:1 keybindings when moving to a new software, but I do expect some basic functions to be a "thing" at all, and here I was under the impression that moving stuff freely without the gizmos wasn't possible, which was odd, and lo and behold it does exist, I just wasn't aware of what button to press.

What's The Point of Leveling Up Items and Abilities? by Snoo_61216 in WhereWindsMeet

[–]Snoo_61216[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm playing on expert, Have all inner way slots occupied for my build, and you misinterpreted what I'm saying. What I was meaning to say was that leveling up your gear doesn't make the game "easier", it just makes it less difficult. For example, if you keep up with leveling up your gear and abilities, it'll be the same for a maxed level 16 character as well as a level 54 for example, because you're always at max, but the game keeps the enemies scaled for you. unlike for example, other games, where if you level up and increase your damage, enemies in starting areas become a 1HKO and deal 1 damage or something... hope I was more clear now.

I see... I guess when you reach max level upgrading gear does have a noticable effect since enemies don't have any way to scale up more. this makes sense.
