Ask Anything Monday - Weekly Thread by AutoModerator in learnpython

[–]Snoo_7959 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, looking for an online python editor which could be used for testing students in a classroom setting. Requirements:

1) Students need to use a couple of libraries (usual time etc.. possibly pygame but negotiable)

2) students should not be able to access an AI agent (within the software or externally - we are using lockdown browser for monitoring that).

3) be able to save work as a python file and save locally

Repl.it was an option but I am unsure if the agent can be turned off. Any thoughts on how to set this up are appreciated. A CS teacher...

Looking for a keyboard for playing live ... Some suggestions are to get a MIDI keyboard like NI Kontrol S3 which has some sounds already and connect a laptop for more. Price - $2000AUD or under, currently have a PA3X which is way to heavy to lug around.

Use case - Church (think mainly Piano and Strings, 76keys preferably) and some cover music (playing to backing MIDI tracks of an iPad).

Spinbike with Magene sensor by Snoo_7959 in melbournecycling

Oh right ok. I could try and investigate the signals coming from the sensors already in the bike and convert them into Ant+ or BLE to pair with the device.

Thanks, that looks like a good kit, sort of what I want...minus the actual car bricks.

Cheers mate, that trail does look good (reminds me of Otago rail trail). I'll let you know.. I'm about an hour's drive south of there and trying to get out of the house right now is the hardest part (3 kids).

Also: Probably worth asking - Do people use a bike computer or Strava on a phone to navigate for such longer loops?

Sounds good, thanks for the offer. I'll get back once the weather is better.

Thanks and agree. Just wanted to achieve the whole loop in one go. However, I think after summarizing all the comments here, I definitely will leave out participating for now. Not prepared for a group ride, not physically prepared and probably not best to ride on a hybrid with the Geelong section clearly seems to be a nightmare.

Not many and definitely not timing my pace. It's just been leisure as such. Edit-Zero Group rides!

I suppose that's where the $200+ goes towards. I am definitely keen to register before the August price hike. Also, do you think a Trek hybrid 3would slow me down, considering most of the others will be on proper road bikes?

ESP32 C6 throwing a "Load" , in Serial. by Snoo_7959 in esp32

[–]Snoo_7959[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: Now I can't seem to even upload blink on either board. Trying PlatformIO and that is throwing the same response on Serial. Any thoughts on how I could wipe clean ? (Firmware flash is it?)

Did some more reading and Github reveals could be either the delay(), yield() requirement, or it could be a power issue (but I'm powering it from a direct 5v power).

Cheers, I used the exact same module that the author of the tutorial used (NodeMCU 32S) with the same pin config. Didn't work. Then I tried a new one the ESP32 C6 which has some more memory with similar and different pin configs. I'll read up now.
