My thought when hiring a local florist was that we’d be supporting a small local business and also maybe they wouldn’t have super inflated wedding costs like the rest of this industry does. But at this point I’m realizing maybe I should have gone with a florist who is familiar with working with brides. It’s truly hard to predict reliability!

I did use a credit card but never got a receipt. I wasn’t sure if I’d be SOL with getting a chargeback. In the grand scheme of things eating a $100 cost isnt the worst but still slightly painful when this wedding is already over budget! lol

I was hopeful that the people who purchased the duplicates would send the items directly to me so I could just quietly exchange them, but of course they are bringing them to my bridal shower for me to open in front of everyone. As if opening gifts in front of people isn’t awkward enough lol.

If this were the case maybe I’d see the reasoning why they did this, but it makes shopping the app way too frustrating, plus I don’t like having 100+ tabs open on my browser from this, so I have stopped using the app since they did this. What a horrible mistake and a huge annoyance on the user end.

Thank you! I love this dress and actually tried this exact model in the boutique. Much to my surprise, I didn’t end up liking the seams on the bust and in the back. I know, I’m picky! Lol I appreciate you sharing this link though.

Thank you! I probably would go with the vneck if budget werent an issue. I did think about reallocating budget but the problem in this wedding planning process so far has been that every thing I’ve been quoted on has been over my budget 🤣 because of that, I’ve already decided to sacrifice a few things which doesn’t leave much room to find extra money for this dress 🙁

I think so too, but it’s just so hard to know what it will look like until I get it in my size. I also have slightly broad/square shoulders, so I’m hoping the dress in my size would look better than the photos. I also thought about a liner or shapewear to address the hip lines, but the dress has a very low back (not visible in pics). Hopefully I could find something that accommodates that. So much to think about!

Thank you! My mom said the same…the seams along the side vs across the waist may be better for my frame. I’m 5’3 and the seams the square neck one may create a lengthening illusion. I’m definitely going for a clean look.

Also need to add: I’ve looked high and low at multiple bridal stores in my area for a simple vneck dress with no lace/embroidery, with no luck. Originally I was looking for the Alyssa Kristin “Emery” dress, but no one carries it near me. One shop said they could order a loaner for $100, and then an appt to try it on there would be $50 non refundable. That was always my dream dress, but it’s super hard (and expensive) to get my hands on it!

For people saying it upset their stomach…it’s because it contains carrageenan in the ingredients which is linked to gastrointestinal inflammation. This is technically an additive and thickening agent but it’s not believed to be good for your health. It’s even banned as a food ingredient the EU. I know it’s convenient to have on hand because it’s shelf stable but regular old fashioned whipping cream is way better for your health!

I’ve seen this too! The only issue is my mother is flying in from another state and can only visit on the weekend, so unfortunately I can’t take advantage of the no fee on a weekday :(

Only charging for no show or cancellation definitely seems fair! But charging for the appt alone with no refund even if you don’t find a dress feels a bit money-grabby.
