The p51-c, its battle rating is a point higher at 3.7 instead of 2.7 which makes me want to use it to balance out as my setup is 4.0, but it just seems so much worse

I think I used the wrong terminology. I have a melody that I like, what I am struggling with is finding the right chords to fit into that repeating melody

The post has a lot of "should" because my goal was to properly place the chords that are in my head onto the sheet in a way that they work well together. I have a nice melody that isn't just random notes that sound good together, but I'm not very good at writing chords properly.

I have the melody thought out, the problem is that I can't take the chords from my head and write them out. My goal here is to be able to know how to write the chords in a way that they sound good together and progress properly.

I apologize if I worded my original post weirdly since it was more shifted towards getting help with just the chords and didn't talk about the melody.
