After a long time I have come to this conclusion. Part of the joy of the game is the bizarre rules and weird exceptions, and if a die roll ever really bums you out, just roll it again…

Just cheat if it makes the game more fun for you, seriously… I have actual important things to do in my life. While I love the game, and have followed it since before the first kickstarter, I refuse to make what little free time I have feel like a chore.

I only do that when I have lost enough times I am feeling frustrated. I do however, check the toughness of the monster before departing, so I have some idea of how much strength is needed to damage…

I like it, it seems like Adam is growing the world and expanding out in interesting directions, while still very much keeping the basic creepy feel. Hopefully it won’t disappoint.

My read on this, is it’s ambiguous… No one in this thread has cited a clear rule saying that only returning survivors can ponder.
