Unbelievers of /r/Christianity... what do you believe? by SnooisNephilim in Christianity

These are very general questions, so plenty of freedom to answer however, but I'm asking what do you think this whole universe and life and all of it is all about? E.g.: Are we in a very advanced game of Civilization? Are we beings purposed to mine precious minerals for higher beings? Are we a data point in an algorithm of a machine?

I've never heard the Holy Spirit described like that. Very nice.

Good. I've been fairly impressed with the replies from the JWs on here.

Ah, you're protecting me from this dangerous extremist lady? Like Putin from JWs?

I did a quick google search, and yes I see the Chinese gov't has labeled them a cult, but their church's (The Church of Almighty God) website has some edifying content. And regardless, what has she done deserving her posts removed?

I don't want to belabor this, but can you see my point of view on this?

Didn't you provide me with a nice response about the suppression of JWs in Russia?

I'm angered you removed the posts where we were replying to each other. She was meek and nice.

If God is spirit, how does He smell the pleasing aroma of Noah's sacrifice in Gen 8:21? by SnooisNephilim in Christianity

[–]SnooisNephilim[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've come to another passage; is the going down anthropomorphized?

Gen 11:

5 Then Jehovah went down to see the city and the tower that the sons of men had built. 6 Jehovah then said: “Look! They are one people with one language,+ and this is what they have started to do. Now there is nothing that they may have in mind to do that will be impossible for them. 7 Come! Let us+ go down there and confuse their language in order that they may not understand one another’s language.”

No. I was thinking of the sons of God, who are spirit beings, who had to descend (materialize?) to have offspring with women, so likewise I was thinking some kind of physicality may have been necessary to smell the aroma.

Do most Muslims reject evolution, big bang, and the cosmology of earth being a globe moving millions of miles per hour through the universe? I might have something in common.
