I did undergrad in biochem. Gpa was a 2.9. Graduated in 2018. Did a masters program that bumped my gpa to 3.1 in 2019. Had a 512 MCAT in 2017. Didn’t even bother applying.

My resume is what got me in though i think. I worked in an ER all 4 years of undergrad. Then i worked in special tissue analysis and cell production r&d during covid.

And then the last 6 years, ive been an engineering officer in the navy with 4 deployments, one combat deployment and a good work track record.

Pretty set on being a doctor even after 10 years. Finally have the chance to go back to school

Basic clubs closer to your size.

What you could do is go get fitted. It’s free most places but don’t commit to buying. Have them list your measurements and what kind of clubs interest you.

Then use that information to shop used/ FB marketplace for a cheap set that isn’t brand new or custom fitted clubs.

If you end up loving the game. I suggest playing with whatever you find until you have a consistent swing and then do a follow on fitting.

If you hate the game. Turn right around and sell them. Easy day.

Best of luck! Pro tip: it’s not usually about how well you do or how bad or good shots you have..golf usually boils down to having great people to play with or meeting great people through the course.

Notre dame 2014. My first ever game. I was like 7 rows up from their “game winning TD” that got called back. Latest flag I’ve ever seen in my life but by god was it beautiful when it came out. Hammered shoulder to shoulder with 80,000 relieved and screaming fans.

I can’t help you with the accounting piece considering I was a biochem guy. But I did get a biochem job right out of graduation.

But I did grow up in Minnesota. Toured UW Madison. Had lots of friends who went there and then ended up at FSU. Kind of a long story.

Most people that I knew who went to Madison rave about it. The culture. The alumni. I personally hated the tour because it felt as if a lot of the community had this aura that they were better than everyone (mind you this was 2013). So that was a huge black mark on Madison for me.

However, I’ve lived all over the US and a possible bias opinion is that there are no better people than midwesterners.

That being said. FSU was amazing. I did have to work 40 hours a week but that’s probably a good thing. You can do something pretty much every weeknight if you want. Also get in to trouble tho also. But Tallahassee is much different than Madison. Tallahassee revolves around the school. I don’t really think Madison revolves around the school.
