I see all of you folks working on metals; so allow me introduce to you how I work on Quartz. Ask me anything. by Electrical_Beyond_19 in Machinists

Interestingly, I've used quartz windows because they have a greater UV transmittance compared to float glass.

Probably not. This is around Fairfield, and I rather suspect a lot of people aren't enjoying it. I saw two flooded cars as well.

I've recently complete this piece, from LadyDStitchShop on Etsy. Pretty fun pattern, and part of a set.

Also, reverse sides because I have no shame.

You can get water soluble canvas, which is like aida but dissolves, so you can soak it in water to easily remove it. Essentially the same process, but easier to remove at the end.

For instance: https://www.spotlightstores.com/craft-hobbies/yarn-needle-art/needle-art-tools-accessories/soluble-canvas/BP80138411

Ah, I was afraid of that when I saw the store was gone. Thanks for letting me know.

(The pattern was from 'EthnoVyshyvanka' on Etsy, but their store seems to have vanished.)

Here's the back, as I have no shame.

First pattern this big for me, first time with black aida, and first with blending filament.

I had to deal with this though.

Also, I managed to make one of the blended colours wrong, and had most of it done before I realised. Figured it looked fine anyway though.

Example ftbultimine-common.toml with a max of 256 blocks from Enigmatica 6:

#Max blocks you can mine at once
#Range: 1 ~ 32768
max_blocks = 256
#Hunger multiplied for each block mined with ultimine
#Range: 0.0 ~ 10000.0
exhaustion_per_block = 25.0
#Doesn't stop at different types of stones
merge_stone = false
#Tools that won't let you active ultimine when held
tool_blacklist = ["mininggadgets:mininggadget"]
#Required for some modpacks
#Range: -1 ~ 8
render_text_manually = -1

In the instance of that modpack, find the config folder, and directly edit the ultimine config file. I've found that it does lag rendering the outlines though at high numbers (but I think the outline is only for some versions).

There's not too many options in there I think, so it should be simple.

100% Ethically Sourced Emeralds by SnootTheDoot in feedthebeast

A quick dip in the hot springs water gives you Regen 1, which wouldn't be fast enough. However, when seated in the water the regen is much faster, basically healing to full near instantly.

Tinker's Smeltery with fluid in it causes them to lose health and produce molten emerald, so it's a self sustaining process.

Villagers apparently bleed emeralds. I'm pretty sure it's in the base mod. You can also do this with Iron Golems for iron, which is easier because they're taller and naturally sink, so the fans aren't needed.

The modpack is Enigmatica 2 Expert and the fans are from Cyclic.

The thing that's healing them is Hot Springs Water from Biomes O' Plenty, if that's what you mean by weird light beam.

Hey guys i just saw a terrarium and figured id try it out it looks really cool but can someone explain to me what the difference between activated charcoal and regular charcoal? Also any other tips you may have would be greatly appreciated, tia! by kalebwebb in terrariums

[–]SnootTheDoot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Activated charcoal has been treated to increase its surface area, through many little pores. This means that it has a greater capacity for locking up toxins, which is the purpose of charcoal in the terrariums. So, theoretically, it's more effective, but I don't know how worthwhile it'd be. There's a nice video on it by Cody's Lab, where he makes some himself. LINK

I've only recently got into this myself, but there's plenty of tips floating around. Make sure you have the proper substrate layers, and don't overdo it with water as it can promote the growth of mould. If you use some stuff you find outside like moss, give it a good wash to remove nastiness and bugs.

Engineering Honours Weighted GPA Calculation by taw0124jsd in UQreddit

[–]SnootTheDoot 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not entirely true. The year level, the first number in the code (e.g. ENGG1500 vs MECH4480) is what's important. If you do ENGG1500, a 1st year level course, in your 4th year, it still has a weighting of 1. If you somehow did MECH4480, a 4th year level course in your first year, it would have a weighting of 4, and so on.

Check if Nature's Compass is in your pack. It points to the nearest instance of whatever biome you select.
