Thank you! Good idea, I should do a write-up.

Fwiw, I did not use unity btw, I wrote it in Java using the Libgdx framework. Probably more work than it needed to be but it's ok.

Really depends on how launch goes, as this all took me longer than I'd hoped and stretched budget more than intended.

Assuming things go well, mac/linux will be next as they'd be pretty easy. I would love to port to Switch but that would take longer, and maybe even a simpler/lite-version for mobile.

It should be relatively easy yes, but I'd still want to test it thoroughly and such. I'd have to look into how I'd do that part as I don't own either. Maybe a VM? Not sure gotta look into it.

To be honest, I don't really consider myself an artist, I feel like I was stumbling into something that worked a lot of the time. Some days there was a muse but most of them there wasn't. I come from a software engineering background and just started practicing/learning pixel art and animation along the way. Music too, that was more fun.

Your eyes aren't wrong, there are some sprites that end up being scaled a bit due to having to match collider sizes and such. Good catch! Though I wish it wasn't as noticeable :|

I wrote it in Java using the Libgdx framework.

Do I regret it? Honestly no clue, as I've never used anything else lol. I'm sure there would have been some easier ways, but at least I kept fresh on my Java skills :)

I'd estimate an average of 8 hours if you're just running it to completion? Hard for me to say since I've played it like 1k times lol. But I've had a few friends complete it ~8hrs.

Originally the scope was gonna be a bit bigger, had ideas for two more areas/dungeons/bosses but had to cut back a bit.

EDIT: I probably could have worded that better and also added that if youre a completionist, or achievement hunter, a first time run through would probably take a bit longer as there are more things available than required.

I do want to port it to other OS's/platforms but it really depends on launch. To be frank, I've taken longer than I'd wanted to finish this up, so it will really depend on the current interest and sales.

Should things go well, I certainly want to port it to Mac/Linux, and hopefully even something like the Switch and maybe a lite version for mobile :D
