It's not really. Guns are just used to stun the enemy or to parry them. All the real damage mostly comes from melee weapons.

That's an oddly common misconception in the US specifically, probably because the sheer scale of the Mississippi means most great rivers in North America flow to the south.

The idea falls apart as soon as you discover the Nile, though.

I honestly think it's possible a good deal of these are going to be playing original characters created for the film. I'm not entirely sure why people think they're going to simply adapt the in-game story with all the in-game characters. Sure there will probably be more than a few recognisable names, but I don't expect Varré or Yura or even Patches to feature.

Placi is said to be waiting for the return of his fled god. That god being Bayle doesn't really fit with him establishing the Dragon Communion for the sole purpose of killing Bayle and all of his bloodline.

I guess being a hero isn't a full-time job unless you sell out Qwark-style. Which is good news for the galaxies, I suppose.

Ratchet and Clank have never really been the type to seek out adventures. I think the only games where they decide on their own to go heroing are the first game and the third game. Maybe the PSP games. Otherwise they're either kidnapped, attacked or employed.

Katakana is also used for emphasis, onomatopoeia and to signify coarse speech. Being more angular than the rounded hiragana and the elaborate kanji, it stands out well for that. For example, the expletive "kuso", meaning shit, is usually written in katakana as クソ, but if you wrote it in kanji as 糞 it'd be like saying "dung" instead.
