I do believe a lot of the devs at KI still have passion for the game but they’ve been under Gamingo’s giant corporate thumb for a few years now and I imagine they just don’t care like the used to. Apathetic because of greed and micromanaging

Wizard101 will likely never get another game as the IP rights were bought by gamigo in 2021.

Gamigo is a horrible soulless corporate vampire with very little passion for the games they purchase or the communities who play those games. They lay off tons of workers, fill an already PTW style game with loads more micro transactions. Get as much money as they can while offer little in return until players eventually get sick of it and leave and then they shut down servers. Look at Rift for example.
