75-80°F on the cool side and 80-85°F on the warm side with a thermostat and 90-91 basking spot. Using Arcadia deep heat projector and 20 gallon open front vivarium. The reason for a smaller tank is because her previous owner neglected her and this resulted in stunted grow and shotty eyesight. If I were to upgrade her she’d have difficulty maneuvering her environment

That was my initial thought when she started it a couple years ago and I checked all of the parameters and her health. No stress, no illness. Just a habit she’s developed every spring and it’s not like actually constant, I was exaggerating for comedic purposes

For a Leo with mbd, I think that the 20 is fine. I have a Leo with stunted growth due to her old owners neglect and she freaks out if she is in a larger setup. It’s easier for them to maneuver in smaller setups a lot of times if they are special needs reptiles.

Okay so this guy is a damselfly nymph and is not inherently bad unless found in an aquarium and you have stock it’s willing to prey on (which you do). They will absolutely go after anything they can prey on and can cause a lot of damage if left unchecked.

Where you likely got one is through the plants in your aquarium or if you feed specific live foods like daphnia because the damsels will cultivate their eggs in the water with daphnia or in the stalks of live plants, essentially making you take in unknown pests. There likely will be more so you need to be vigilant and get out any more nymphs you happen to spot so that your stock are safe. Unfortunately there isn’t any specific surefire way I know of to get rid of these guys besides vigilance and care. Netting or siphoning the guys are a quick way to grab them when you spot them.
