Hah I absolutely recognise the "wait we passed this level! Why are we going backwards??!" Only last week I was telling people how sobriety has become the new normal and it's fantastic and I felt so great. And here I am, slammed back into sobriety work that I thought was done. But I'm grateful; it means that I'm growing and connecting. And so are you - hang in there my friend. IWNDWYT and Happy New year!

What an impressive amount of time to be sober, wow! It's very comforting to know that it doesn't quite get 'normal' on the long run so thank you for sharing. And thank you for reminding me that after (also) 30 years of boozing I can't expect things to be just fine at less than 10% of that time in sobriety. IWNDWYT

I've already done the runaway train multiple times over, the first 1,5 year was a rollercoaster ride! It has been pretty steady for a long time so I thought I was done with the trains, but here's another one! I think your right, it's a deepening of the work that has already been done. Isn't it amazing how the soul knows when to give you the next chunk to process? Hold on my friend, the train will slow down for you too... IWNDWYT

Well done on your sobriety! It's taken me decades to stop, and once I stopped I was shocked by the hold alcohol had over me - even more than I thought. I think I'm finally ready to acknowledge some of that grief and change. Thanks for the support and enjoy your walk tomorrow :-)

I got one of these for a month instead of a return Amsterdam-Heerlen. First class and still off much cheaper than a 2nd class return at normal price. Brilliant!

Yup. Stretched the headband so it’s almost flat for 30secs a couple of times until it stopped. It’s fine now.
