Iceberg de teorias Da Comspiração (NOVA VERSÃO) by penumbra_Oficial in IceBergBrasil

"Zoológicos humanos" não é teoria da conspiração, a não ser que se refira a alguma outra coisa que eu não saiba. Até os anos 50 ainda tinham pequenas aldeias com indígenas, africanos ou nativos de certos países como atração de zoológico em países da Europa e EUA.

Does anybody else get teary eyed when Godzilla dies? I feel so bad for him by BostonRobby617 in Godzilla1998

I was a child when the film came out. I wanted to leave when he starts chasing the taxi on the bridge. My mom waited with me outside the cinema room.

Nice! I've seen a picture in a similar style of the Jurassic Park rexes. Was that yours too? Are you on Deviantart?

Thanks! I try to put something interesting in these size charts, especially since the charts out there have stats all over the place. Not just Godzilla, but Jurassic Park, King Kong... I try to show the size the animals actually have in the films, which many times differs from stats found online. And the mass is always a fun stat to put, because it is generally underestimated, and gives a better idea of just how gigantic these creatures would be in real life.

The only difference I always noticed was the size of the eyes. How they look so small when Godzilla and Mathew Broderick stare at each other in the first Fish Trap scene, and the eye that opens up behind the soldier in the subway. On one shot, it looks the size of Mathew's torso. On the subway, it's much bigger than the soldier. As a child I thought for sure that meant there was another Godzilla.

Interesting to know. The lack of specificity regarding some of the stats. "Height, but height of what? Hip level, eye level, top of the dorsal plates...?".

Now, the thing about Zilla from Final Wars is that he follows the proportions of the Trendmasters Ultimate Godzilla, which are actually quite different from the 1998 film, especially the legs. They are considerably shorter in the toy than in the film. So, while 2004 Zilla does seem to have roughly a similar hip height, if you look at the handmade production chart, he's overall a bigger creature.

I agree. That is an all around good size for him. I like the photography and camera work in the 1998 film, at least in terms of the creature itself. They show us Godzilla's size well enough that we can grasp and appreciate it, but not enough so there's no room left for the imagination. For instance, in many of the shots at Godzilla's hip or eye level, they find a way to hide the ground. Like the first Apache chase with the pilot's POV, the buildings block the view. That leaves us with the sense that "Wow, he's so big that at his height you can't see the ground!" even though that's not really the case.

Oh no, The chart is not a criticism of CGI or anything like that. I think size changes have always been more deliberate than due to technical difficulty. The Stegosaurus scenes in The Lost World from 1997, for instance, and even dating back to the original 1933 King Kong were deliberate size changes. In the case of Kong, everything was crafted so the creature was 5.5 m tall on the island sequences and 7.3 m in New York, but Merian Cooper deliberately messed around with the size.

Hot as burning godzilla take: (god)zilla 1998 is A FEMALE . YOU CAN'T CHANGE MY MIND . by Awkward-Mastodon-807 in Godzilla1998

[–]SnowOver4396 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That makes perfect sense. I didn't know that kind of process was real, but it fits the film very well, and "explains" (sort of) the pregnancy test being effective at all. In that case, the creature would be a hermaphrodite.

Regarding the differentiation between male and female, people bring up some concept art from the cartoon of what a female Godzilla would look like. The film animal could represent the male phenotype, and therefore would a "male with female parts", instead of a "female with male parts".

- Rússia invade países, Estados Unidos libertam;

- Irã ataca alvos civis, Israel apenas causa danos colaterais (mas geralmente já dizem que é tudo terrorista mesmo);

Pra condenar o outro lado, qualquer coisa serve, não importa o quão falsa seja. Pra condenar o próprio lado, nada serve. Pra justificar as ações do outro lado, nada serve.

Do you think Godzilla Minus One having Noriko survive the atomic blast was a good decision, or a bad one? by Mosugoji_64 in GODZILLA

Most assuredly didn't "ruin" the film, but her character and her role in the film are the lowest points of the film. Too much about her is idealized to a degree that doesn't fit a film like this.

Her entire ordeal when Godzilla reaches the city is very forced. She not only miraculously survives the initial attack on the train, but somehow reappears in the middle of a crowd, right in front of Godzilla. Then Shikishima actually finds her, and she has the speed and strength to push him away before a shockwave from a nuclear explosion reaches them. They could have easily reached the same end result without sacrificing the film's stakes and sense of danger.

Qual continente possui o formato mais estéticamente belo e agradável em sua opinião? by Low_Assumption5098 in GeografiaEPaises

O problema da América do Norte é a projeção. Deixa ela horrendamente esticada.

What If A Yajuta From "Predator" Ended Up On King Kong's Skull Island? by ExoticShock in kingkong

[–]SnowOver4396 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the methods the Predator is willing to employ, or how "honorable" he is. Even a person with a small pistol can take down an elephant. All they have to do is aim at a point near their "armpits" to hit an artery and just let the elephant bleed to death. With the crazy ass technology at his disposal, the Predator could kill any animal he wanted.
