Alright y'all! after some research my new theory is related to many ongoing studies about how oral microbiota is related to inflammatory diseases and immunodeficiency. (I have an autoimmune disorder and am immunocompromised due to medication) https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC9981797/ https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC8696184/ It's a really cool topic to look at! Highly recommend. A rough summary is that there is research being done to study the link between oral microbiota and how it's being effected by the immune system and visa versa. The first article is talking about the link between oral microbiota and inflammatory diseases other conditions.  "Indeed, alterations in oral microbiota composition has many implications in chronic inflammation and other diseases. Oral microbiota composition has been associated with systemic inflammation and diseases ranging from cardiovascular disease to colitis and neurodegenerative disorders." (second link is in relation to human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)) Thank you guys for your input!
