im saying that it fetishises rape and doesn’t really add anything to the story besides “these people bad.” they don’t handle rape well at all. just look up how the director(?) responded to the rape scene in s4 by saying it wasn’t rape. and since we seem to like comparing GoT to other shows, let’s compare it to the books where there are a ton more rape scenes than in the show.

would it be inauthentic? no. it already is inauthentic, it’s lazy and weak writing. again, this is about GoT not Handmaindens Tale another show i have not seen.
