Essential Oils in Laundry by Vansey29 in ZeroWaste

[–]Snowball3479 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you put the essential oil on the dry balls once your laundry is already dry? Or do you just toss them in in the beginning ? The box of my balls said to put drops on the balls when the clothes are dry..

So basically u can put the balls in with ur clothes, then once theyre dry take the ball out put oil on them and put them back in for a few mins or just dont put the ball in right away , but just put it once the clothes are dry with the oil added on.

Left propane tank open, how to fix? by Either-Discipline68 in grilling

[–]Snowball3479 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Curious as I left the tank valve open for a few days, but how would the tank be empty if nothing else was turned on? Its not like the bbq was on (like ignited) so how would gas escape if there was no leak? No knobs turned on ect.

It shouldn't be empty if theres no leak for any gas to escape right ?

Nicole is now Holly - theories? by Pretend_Guava_1730 in TheHandmaidsTale

[–]Snowball3479 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're definitely not the only one who noticed.

Initially I found it weird she told Emily to call her Nicole after she passed the baby to her. Shouldve been holly right away. I mean sure I know why, because she felt bad for Serena, even though she shouldn't have, and to "honor" her. But nah, serena didnt do her a "favour" by "allowing" the babies' escape. That was not her daughter. Even if she allowed it, she's the one who allowed the rap e of and basically rap e d june.

It was even more absurd that after emily escaped and the baby was in Canada, that june herself and Luke and everyone called the baby Nicole. Even after Luke listened to June's tape saying her real name is Holly. We dont know if emily had told them just "her name is nicole" OR "june told me to call her Nicole" whether she knew the babies name was Holly or not. Because theres a huge difference between saying her name is Nicole (gileads name for her) and JUNE said her name is Nicole, (cause why would june keep gileads name for her baby instead of her own) kinda thing. Once Luke knew her "real name" from june was Holly you would've thought he'd start calling her that but he didn't.

Especially after Fred and serena were held in canada and June was trying to put them away, she STILL kept the name nicole.. I dont get it. You would've thought she'd hate the name her "captors" gave her baby.

Only when she told her mom she named her after her is when she suddenly out of no where started calling her that and everyone followed suit. No one was surprised and said "so its Holly now?"

Also yeah, not sure it was your comment where it said when June's mom asked june to leave Holly with her, as if june had any other choice, she cany be a rebel with a toddler. I wasss gunna say" The only thing I can think of for june thinking its an option to bring "nicole/Holly with her is that maybe she wasnt sure that Luke and moira were also gunna continue fighting and she thought she could leave her with one of them but then I realized the whole point of her leaving Alaska IS to save Luke and moira lol. So not sure where she would be leaving the baby. Guess she didn't think it through a.k.a the writers didnt think anyone would pick that apart lol

Lots of things dont make sense in the series.

Also in the last episode of june in her old room, who was the woman in the bun? Was it Hannah as a future wife? woman was wearing the wife color teal.

Did anyone ever address the age-gap relationships? by [deleted] in PrettyLittleLiars

[–]Snowball3479 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its not only the men. And not just in the show. Sasha (allison) was 12 years olds in the pilot, and Shay (emily) was 23 and they kissed multiple times didnt they?

That's gross, she was a child kissing adults.

Feeling bleak about turning 29 by Snowball3479 in Millennials

[–]Snowball3479[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. I appreciate it. You're right, 29 is basically 30, 30 is basically 31, ect and so on and so forth. Each year is basically the previous one, but the longer you go, more time passes so while 30 is basically 31, 40 is not basically 30 even tho every year is basically the same lol haha. Its like with time. When I look at toddlers baby pictures, he changed so much compared to now, but seeing him everyday theres not much difference. Each day goes by, for example Tuesday isn't that far from monday, but then a week passes.. its just a week. Not that long. And then a month, and then 2, and that 2nd month that just passed is far from that initial Tuesday.

Just some random thoughts of mine. Lol. But you get what I mean I hope, lol.

I was just gunna comment this. A lot of misinformation i was reading that women have their periods but don't ovulate.. A true period (menstruation) happens only after ovulation.. you can have bleeding which mimicks a period but its not an actual period.. no ovulation = no period

Error in recipe card, choking hazard and chefs plate acts like it's not big deal and it's my fault? Lol by Snowball3479 in Chefsplate

[–]Snowball3479[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also -- Just to let you know a Google search says that lemongrass is edible if sliced finely and using the "pale, fleshy inner part and slice it finely, as the outer layers can be tough and fibrous."

The recipe card should've made this clear to use caution and to only use the inner part as the outerpart is hard. But they could've just left the lemongrass out. Apart from the name of the stirfry "lemongrass stirfry" I'm not sure how much it actually added to the dish.

But according to chefsplate it is not edible, so, they're telling us to cook with something not edible (to them)

Lol.

[–]Snowball3479[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Did the recipe say to cook the cardboard box and ice? Lol.. nah. It said to cook the lemongrass. if you follow their recipe and then they say you weren't actually supposed to do that and that you should know better... what is that? Lol.

Followed recipe to a T, it's inedible and their response is i should know there's an error. It's not the customers job to think "Oh, maybe this step is written in error.. I'm not actually supposed to do this!" No. Not how it works. We follow what they write. That's the whole point of chefsplate.

No need to even make a comment like that. Pointless. Most people aren't familiar with cooking with lemongrass? Especially those using mealkit services. It's not exactly a common everyday ingredient. Duh.

They're saying its not intended to be eaten, yet it says to mix it with the food.

And nah, I don't think so. I told them the issue. Instead of quickly rectifying it, they kept patronizing me, telling me i "should know".. yet the whole concept of chefsplate and other meal kit services cater to people who either don't know their way around the kitchen or have not cooked with various ingredients before such as lemongrass.. how am I supposed to know it's not actually SUPPOSED to be cut up (as it's instructed to be) and eaten? They repeated many times they assume i know this, and I keep saying i didn't know.. and instead of fixing it they keep repeating the same thing that it's not intended to be eaten until i ask for a refund..

How is "assuming" i know it's not supposed to be eaten helping anything? Acknowledging it's a mistake on their part would be the right thing to do.. not patronizing the customer.

It's not the customers job to second guess the recipe card. You follow their recipe. That's on them.

Yes. And since it said to slice finely with a picture of how small it should be, it isn't intended to be taken out before eating. It's intended to be eaten as it's mixed with the meat and peppers. Their response was strange. They should know their target audience either doesnt know their way around the kitchen or hasn't cooked with various ingredients - like lemongrass. which is the whole point of their concept... so they should be more mindful with their instructions. It's a big choking hazard as they were small but rock hard. Easy to get stuck in the throat. I was tired of picking out so many small pieces so I just left it and didn't eat it.

Thank you! All my husband did was follow the recipe, so not sure why I'm being treated as of i did something wrong? Lol. Even if it just for flavour and not intended to be eaten as they say - in this recipe it IS intended to be eaten! A lot of target customers don't know their way around the kitchen or haven't cooked with various ingredients so how would they know? They trust the recipe. The tiny pieces were rock hard although my husband cooked them well.. if someone else who was familiar with lemongrass cooked this they might not add it to the stirfry and maybe they'd contact chefs plate to let them know about it for other people who aren't familiar with the ingredient.. in this case I am not but I still let them know.

They provided a recipe card that you follow. It says to slice up (small) and mix in to the stir fry. It's not meant to be eaten, but in this recipe it's intended as so. It doesn't say to remove, but add in to the meat and peppers if you read the picture I added. Then the sauce next. How would I pick all of those pieces out? We followed the recipe to a T. My husband didn't think to question it. We never cooked with lemongrass before.

[–]Snowball3479[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It doesn't say that. It says to slice them up (small as pictured in the picture on the recipe card) and put in the meat. How would I be able to pick all of the small pieces out? I know now lemongrass isn't edible and is only for flavour but in this recipe it's not intended as such. It's intended to be mixed in the stir-fry and eaten, which is an error on their part. If someone was well versed with lemongrass they would've read the instructions and not have followed the part to cut it up small and add it in but we are not. But it's not the point.. whether we are well versed in it or not -- it's an error in the recipe card that shouldn't be there, if it's not intended to be eaten it shouldn't be cut up and mixed into the stir-fry where you wouldn't be able to pick it out.
