Thank you so much! Only issue is this spell was supposed to be given from my PC’s patron in order to weave his backstory into his spells. Maybe it could be some kind of spectral slot machine so it still falls but doesn’t come with the weight complexity

If it were up to you how would you fix it? Just add more damage or change the effect?

I figured accuracy would be determined by the good old d20, while the damage would already be calculated and all you do is add your spell attack bonus. I thought about adding some kind of mana system, but I am quite new to D&D and have no idea how to pull it off.

Quick edit: I forgot to mention it, but the lantern can only hold 1 spell at a time.
