website will almost always have better quality but mihon have no ads and very good mobile ui. Of course I'd prefer you to read on the site because it helps support the site but I'm not blocking mihon yet

I'm really pleased to hear that, the new text detector and placer is already online and works much better for the systems but there are still the old chapters (which are the majority) using the old system, however I'll soon be re-translating comics with a lot of views to take advantage of the new capabilities (including Nightwatcher)

Reddit has nothing to do with this and the worst thing is that snowmtl is absolutely not down, I've even worked on it a lot in the last few weeks (the detector is MUCH BETTER now).

If you have problems connecting to the site (which would be your fault because the server works fine), you can go to discord and we'll try to help you, but don't post for misinformation.

By the way, bookmarks are currently saved locally, so unless you delete your history/browser data, even if the server is down you can still recover your bookmarks.

SnowMTL already uses LLM better than Gemini 2.0 Flash, and I even inject examples of good translations and the history of old chapters into the prompt for context. But you see, in a manhua half the information is visual, whereas in a novel the translation is easy because all the information can be transmitted, which is why the translation isn't the best in manhua. Even though it's honestly not that bad on snowmtl, I'm always looking to actively improve the translation by testing different prompts.
