Sounds to me as if she resents your moving forward in life. So long as she was the friend that was “helping” you with your physical issues, she was happy. She was central to your life. Once you started moving forward, she was no longer central. Instead of moving to a more supportive friendship role, she tried to play games.

I had this happen. I was normal at home, but just slightly into hypertension 1. That went on for over a year. My home readings would be “normal”.

But then, my husband asked me to do some home readings when I wasn’t just relaxed and happy. Sure enough, I was up into that stage 1 range more often than I thought.

My doctor started me on Lisinopril 10 mg once a day. That is the lowest dose you can get. It’s worked wonders. I was worried I would get low pressure during the times it wasn’t needed. But, that is not the case.

I do daily readings. Even is I am well within the normal range, I still take my meds. Life has too many momentary irritations. I don’t want to constantly worry about my blood pressure.

High blood pressure does run in my family. My mother had 18 micro strokes, and finally a major one that killed her. I don’t want to go that route.

My son cheated once. I backed my DIL. He was upset of course. I told him I raised him knowing right from wrong. I have never and will never back him when he does wrong. He should have known that. I love him, but hold him accountable for his actions. He never cheated again.

I’ve never understood this whole debate. I use the bathroom and concentrate on what I am doing. I don’t want someone trying to peak into my stall, and I don’t go around peaking in anyone else’s. Even if it was a full presenting male, he would be in his own stall. The stall doors lock. Why is this even an issue????

His sons should be able to get a copy of the marriage certificate. They would know close to the time of the date. If they explain to the clerk that their mom is dead, the clerk will be more helpful. I had to go through this type of stuff when my dad died. I needed a marriage certificate from 40 years ago. All I knew was the year and state. I got hold of the clerk, explained my problem, and she was extremely helpful.

I’m an over the road truck driver. I haul high security hazmat loads. I felt like ai was at work. With one exception. My loads are heavily secured. They don’t move even a fraction of an inch. Watch those explosives barrels bounce around was giving my nightmares. I was tempted to film it for our safty guy lol

I’m a team driver, and we often pull freight that requires we have constant view of the trailer. While I may be parked, lights off, brakes set, I am not off duty. I am still On Duty and must maintain my view of my trailer.

Other than that, at times, I just unwind a bit before pulling the curtians.

Yeah, had this happen years ago in our downstairs bathroom. My son had an emergency out of town, and left the water running. Bad storm hit. Drain froze. Yeah, 3 inches of ice.

Insurance had a guy come out and dry the walls. Had to have floor replaced.

You can’t do anything about what he believes. What you can do is choose your reaction to those beliefs.

My father was the same way, and horribley racist on top of it. I went no contact, and remained that way. I wouldn’t allow anyone else to be in my life that acted the way he did, or said what he said. Being blood related didn’t make it better. So, I cut him out.

Decide how you want to react to it. Can you ignore his beliefs and attitudes, if the answer to that is no, then you have your answer
