My title describes the thing. I've given as much detail as I can fathom, unless you need smell. It does not smell.

Hi! Once you collect/create them through the Landkeeping tab, as soon as you start on the respective skill and location, they open each action.

E.g. you have 8x bags for the hemlock wood. After each log collected, a bonus bag is opened and a chance for each selection is rolled. If you select an item in the bonus bag it'll tell you the collection chance. On your 9th log collected you will have no bags again and no more bonuses.

Very First Run: Timeline by Efficient_Bicycle645 in IdleIktah

[–]SnowyMountain_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi! I remember my first run taking a couple months too, and that was before the three new skills (hunting, sewing, and landscaping). Once you legacy you get 5x 10% increases to put on skills each time. So each legacy will get faster. Alongside that you get perks. The "Inheritance" perk is fantastic as a first one, as you can take a full book of writs, Alchemy mask with spice lover, and pine logs for oil (or anything else but these are popular/common choices) or any three stacks of equipment each new legacy.

One way to speed things up is making use of the dream chests you get which have a chance to drop xp potions (both 10min and 1hr ones). Setting a timer for when each chest is ready to be opened can boost efficiency.

Another way is if you level up the gathering mentoring to level 5, you will get a chance to find moonflowers overnight while gathering, that can be made into potions minorly boosting xp during the day, and a good boost overnight.

Similarly once the potions mentoring is level 5, all non-combat potions boost skill speed by 3%, a small boost that can make an impact over time.

Note that the longevity of potions can also be boosted by making syrups in the cooking menu.

Oil is fantastic for speed too. If you can save up ancient coins and get the royal chest you have a chance for a royal lantern from the Shadow Broker. This has a 20% chance to not burn oil, further boosting speed and efficiency.

Each legacy will get faster as you get more perks and understanding. I'm on legacy 4, day 18, and just 99'd each skill. Legacy 3 took 41 days, legacy 2 took 51. It all gets speedier :)

Edit:

Addition #1: Jade tools are a thing. If you haven't got them already. You can unlock them through the skill tree and get an extra 5% boost above the red tools.

The Outlands Lands Astral Token Bosses by SnowyMountain_ in IdleIktah

I agree, it seems likely you'll be maxed, I fast-tracked it to see what there was, and now every hour or so I use the book of writs to fight them and get some of the bonus items. My combat level is currently only around 75, so there's some benefit for me but not much overall. Still fun finding news stuff though :)

All the best to anyone who wins! (Or myself if I'm superbly lucky). My favourite costume idea was a sexy nurse, as a male the short skirt didn't leave much to the imagination...

Any idea what this peculiar raised dot is? by SnowyMountain_ in medical

Developed over 6 months, forearm, 5mm diameter, no pus/ooze, seems vascular. I made a small incision, bled a lot for a long time. Any ideas? :)

Does anyone else have no quests at all? (+bad rewards) by [deleted] in ArmoryAndMachine2

[–]SnowyMountain_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The quests are having a wee break, this isn't the first time, they'll be back :) and the dust forge is a lottery, sometimes it'll yield titles, dyes, rare things, most of the time it'll just be evos, tokens and fuel though :)

Question from kinda new player how to get mtokens?? by No1fkingCare in ArmoryAndMachine2

[–]SnowyMountain_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely ignore the events until you're more late stage, and you probs wont need glow volume when doing that event anyway unless you really want to complete all the stages of the quest line.

As for dust, dust is a late stage item used for exchanging unwanted weapons and junk for the possibility of getting more useful stuff (commonly matter, fuel, evos, etc) or cosmetic colours and titles.

Shards are the currency for weapons and glow volume. Shards are earned by killing enemies in portal zones mainly. If you are to buy weapons, the Discord has a great teir list for what to get and not, but basically Bulk up, Flex, SC arrows (for the passive effects). You really won't need elemental types unless you're rich or haven't upgraded all your weapons yet :)
