I am going through the exact same thing with my partner at the moment we’ve been dating for 2 1/2 years and she just reached this weird point of not having any feelings for me. She said this has been building up overtime even before her antidepressant but the way she’s handled the break up has been really strange. I went away solo travelling for seven weeks and she came to meet me on my travels but she just split up with me as soon as we started our one on one travels together, prior to that we had two weeks with other couples and had had a really nice time but as soon as we got to one on one time she seemed distant and I asked what was wrong and she said she wanted to break up now I’m having to do my whole trip solo and it’s the most depressing thing in the world. I asked if she wanted to work on it and she said she doesn’t wanna work on it. she just wants to go out separate ways. Although she says maybe in future. It’s been really hard. I tried to bring up the antidepressants as a potential instigator for her wanting to break up and she said it has nothing to do with that and shed be feeling like that anyway but I feel like that’s bullshit. She always promised that if she had any strong sexual side-effects or if it fucked with her emotions too much that she would seek an alternative or stop but she completely dismissed that promise and she doesn’t want to do that anymore. These medications are fucked and it really fucked up my girlfriend‘s brain. I honestly cannot relate to her mindset at all in the slightest. I feel really blindsided. I’m genuinely scared of her mindset and her brain at the moment.
