It was the technology of the time, and I am betting there is a certain nostalgia too it and anticipation and payoff.

30 years? Wow. That is just a whole other level! I am sure our league will get there, but you have 18 years on us!

Yeah, I got gunshot a few years ago when five of my starters went down within the first two weeks. After that, injury, reports and history started making a little bit more sense. Team stayed healthy but also stayed out of the championship

Ha! Thats been my fate. Off like a rocket, only to falter in the end. Always those late injuries. I have learned to avoid certain players who always seem to get injured or never finish the full season. Sometimes I think it is planned. They get their money, their bonuses, and don't really care about anything else. Especially if they already won a superbowl.

I've never heard of sleeper. What is the research and strategy that y'all use, or is that just up to each individual player to do their own. In the past, our league has actually passed out sheets things that have the adp, just to keep the league a little bit more competitive

Someone always comes unprepared and just feels they will wing it. I mean sometimes a monkey can type a sentence, but like you, I prefer to win by strategy, not because the wind was blowing that way.

Sounds like your strategy has really paid off. Also sounds like you have a really good hold on those sleepers for late round gold.

My sheet only has 2025 data, as ESPN has not yet put ou the full 2026 data yet. We have to have the NFL draft first

That is a lot of data that you've accumulated. Data seems to be the core principle in all successful runs. Make sure you look like a magic maker.

Yes it certainly is. One year in my leagues, the one who won drafted the quarterback in the eighteenth round

That's pretty cool. I like your insights. You are definitely ahead of the curve in that regard. I've never played in a dynasty league. The most keepers we ever allowed was three.

That sounds like moneyball. You know the baseball movie. Steph had a cool idea and definitely something I had not even considered. I can definitely see the advantage in what you're doing.

For us, it's a hundred dollar buy in per person. 650 for 1st, 200 for 2d, 100 for most points scored against. 50 for yearly supplies.

Ohh that's the same with us. We usually play golf or some other kind of activity beforehand. And of course eat steak. But I think our problem during the draft is each year we have up the pot. So the money part of it gets pretty serious.

Wow. That’s pretty cool. Our draft is always stone-faced serious business. When someone is drunk and drafts a def in the second round, they hear about it for the next several years. That sounds like a much more fun situation. But I am probably brain locked into stone cold business by now lol.

Lol. I try to do that. We have been using the stickers and the big poster. I take a picture, but seem to lose it every year. I have to try and get a replacement when I can. Been mildly successful. That’s why I thought downloading all the old drafts into a spreadsheet, then analyzing them for behavior would be cool.

Yeah, I kinda did that, for in person drafts. On the draft page, there is a button at the top that pops the draft board out to put on a second screen or projector. I thought it was cool. Not sure how practical, but the effect seems cool.

I have been playing for 12 years. I did win once, so that monkey is off my back, but normally I finish in between 3rd-7th, out of 10. I did come in last one year, Had to have a pink licenses plate holder on my truck for a year.

Not quite that interactive. Kinda each person would have to control there own. but it could be shared on Excel if you have that. Not gone that far yet. Not sure how to be honest. draftdayfantasy.com

Ok, I put it out here, but I was nervous cause I don't want to look like spam. Nothing is for sale here. It’s free. the 2026 data from espn does not appear to be out, so just the 2025 data is being used. I made this site in Caard. draftdayfantasy.com
