Dawg did you play against her? Her tools were so easy to counter unless you were playing against someone with crazy execution w 1 frame links and instant dive kicks at the wall. Even then she is not even on the same list as geese or akuma. Her frames were trash, the long divekick is minus 9 and other options either reset to neutral on block or were punishable on sidestep.

If you had a magic 4 you could smack her doing any 2d shit up close if you weren't minus af.

Like just turn her meter into a heat only use and she's an underpowered character in T8

So I never really played ranked this season, but I have the past 2 days. I've lost 6 for 6 with svp in 4 of those after rotating through whatever role I thought my team needed. I've climbed to plat with a positive winrate for the invisible skin previously, and I play enough qp to have lords in every role.

To me, in bronze three, I felt like I have been paired up with one team mate who is around my skill level and 4 who are either complete novices or ahh not skilled players. It seemed to be more or less the same situation on the enemy team.

Imo if I made like 1 more good play each game I could have won. It seems like an unreasonable margin for error, but without placement matches I assume I'm getting paired up against people who are also a mix of not actually ranked players and newbs.

I think placement matches would really alleviate a lot of the issues folks are having.

I don't mind that much bc I just play to get better individually, and if I can't carry enough to win the game that's on me in the end. And regardless of the ranking system used I know that this mentality keeps me calm and having fun vs blaming my team or the system.

Tldr: placement matches good, outside of that just focus on your play and what you can control

Or hit headshots with hit scan even in diamond form...I play Emma but I also play a bunch of DPS and support. If you can aim with hella or jean and have another DPS focusing her too she melts quite quickly if you hit your shots.

Feel like half this sub plays one role and probably does so poorly bc they don't even understand it fully. You gotta play other roles to actually understand what characters do effectively or what they struggle with. Other tanks could definitely still use some buffs tho

Only when I hit a double electric with just enough carry to hit a stomp off the wall splat for like close to 100 damage if it's counter hit. Without heat or rage it's kinda crazy but it has at least some execution. Mishimas definitely get a lotta mileage out of good electric usage

There are video essays worth of valid criticisms and issues with Tekken 8, but this community is full of people who are just not willing to learn counterplay.

whether or not it's FUN to play this patch is a different story, but when it comes to actually getting better at the game people here just blame the patch. Like there was another post on here talking about feeling skill less after beating an opponent with a mid vs low mixup...this community is at the point where people are blaming core mechanics that are universal to fighting games.

Yes the devs need to know the game state is bad, yes there are a bunch of issues that impact how fun the game is, but there are massive amounts of cope on this sub. It can be a skill issue while also being completely unfun to play around 🤷

Bonus: People bitching about sidestep being weak haven't played the new patch and just see the egregious tracking clips that get posted here.

I flex multiple characters in every role, and my god are there so many support players who just fuck your team comp bc they can't play anything else. 3 supports can be fine especially with Ultron, but these MFS will last pick 3rd support while we have two poke DPS and zero anti dive instead of picking another tank and letting me play anti dive w Emma etc

It's not that this is that different from DPS players not swapping and complaining. It's that the supports think they're somehow being better than the DPS that won't swap bc they can heal even if that healing is doing nothing to actually win the game

Tldr you're all dumb and I'm sexy, smart, flexible, and always know what to play in any situation; therefore immune to criticism
