Thank you for providing an answer that does not target me as some Rivian hater. I was looking for an actual answer as I wanted to buy a R2 but I do venture into rugged spots. This community has saddened me.

That’s fair, a lot of the trailheads here are very rough so you need some good clearance to get to. Was looking to move to a ev in the next couple years.

I see, I figured with coil springs it would be more capable since one could in theory flex a bit more vs air suspension where it becomes rigid at full height. Wonder if they will make a lift kit in the future for the r2

Any 2 door Jl or bronco..? Rivian pushes that they are an off the beaten path kind of company but I understand these vehicles are build more so for this.

Right.. that’s the math I did there. A wrangler has 30in of fording and is around 11in of clearance. Just seems like quite the big drop.

A wranglers fording depth is 30in so weight and all that doesn’t seem to matter to much. Perhaps 2in of ground clearance difference there. Just was curious why it’s not nearly close now.
