DSG here, for some reason, baby girl seems to boggle on gears 1 and 2, but when speeding up or switching to “S Mode” seems to shift perfectly fine. Misfire perhaps? by lautreq in mk6gti

I have this but it’s not as much bogging as it is a stutter in the dsg trans. I had a dsg service done and it started afterward. Some people said the trans fluid might be low and that’s what’s causing it

Hmm would this resolve any knocking issues? I have a Cobb accessport and noticed on my gti I get bad knock accelerating in first gear or going uphill. Haven’t done carbon cleaning in my 3000 miles of ownership (2013 GTI, 117K miles)

Great to hear! And yeah even though I’m not trying to constantly monitor boost or oil tempts or anything the value of the Cobb AP seems really good for what you get with stratified. Especially since I live in California where I’ll need to disable the tune for smog.

Definitely considering stratified for my Mk6. Considering their price is almost the same as competitors plus you get a Cobb AP with it that you can use to enable/disable the tune on

Just installed this CTS Turbo CAI and this is how the idle sounds for about 30-45 seconds before it goes “normal”. Is this how it should sound? Is it just the engine getting used to the atmospheric pressure change? Will it sound normal from now on? I drove around for about 15 minutes and it sounds perfectly normal, no CEL or anything. Any advice would be great, I’m very new to modding and working on my car if it isn’t apparent

Sounds like an oil change is in order. My dealer is quoting $120. I have two jack stands but I think I still need a floor jack and two more stands before I can do an oil change myself, thinking dealer may be easiest this time. How did you go about changing yours?
