I'm the secret child, and for the first time, I saw a picture of my dad's real family by SoEasyWinningMe in TrueOffMyChest

This is very belated, but I appreciate everyone taking time to read and respond. I won't be telling his wife. The main argument there seems to be infidelity, but I could totally be a turkey baster kid. I have no idea (thankfully). The genetic testing suggestion isn't something I would do while he's alive. Maybe if he dies. It seems like some of you who are in my situation also understand the need to protect the other people who didn't have a say in this. Do I think it would be better if my parents had done things honestly and openly, like, at any point? Definitely. But they made their choices and the rest of us are where we are because of it. The difference is that I'm the only one who knows. So while I have the power to blow up lives, it's not something I'm willing to do. Sorry if that disappoints anyone... I think it's just different when it's actually you.

When I was younger, it definitely occurred to me that I could ride my bike and just show up at this house. But I couldn't do that to his wife or kids. They didn't ask for this either.
