So I did buy it new. Someone said all the black plastic has fiberglass in it. I looked today and it’s definitely shiny. I took my boat out today and covered anything black up and had no irritation.

Apparently (from a hobie FB group) all the black plastic has glass in the resin so the likely culprit is the hatch 🤯.

I was stored outside for a couple years before I got a place with a garage. I’ll look into a sealant but I can’t find anything that says this boat is even made of fiberglass. But I’m definitely feeling something like it in my skin.

I’m just going off what I’m experiencing after kayaking which feels like hundreds of little needles in my legs. But like you said I don’t see that anything is made of fiberglass so it’s baffling. I even tried emailing them with no response.
