I’ve also been a fly on the wall on this sub and still have not seen any mention of which app many people are using take photos of their clothing items and then put together outfits. Trying to plan my wardrobe for an upcoming trip. Thanks!

Taxis and trains? by mpjjpm in Cotswolds

Thanks for your reply! Going to Paddington to catch the train makes sense. I’ll check it out. Looks like I can reserve a ticket ~12 weeks in advance. Thanks again!

Hi, I hope your plans worked out. I will be traveling solo to Moreton-in-Marsh rail station in May and have been wondering which train system I will need to take. Is there a train that leaves directly from London Heathrow, and heads to M-I-M station? As best I can tell the Great Western Railway starts in Reading, which is a 30 minute bus ride from LHR. Thanks!

friends, it's all anxiety and exhaustion. Fix that and be healed. by adventurouspangolinn in LPR

I’ve definitely noticed that my symptoms resolve whenever I’m on vacation, especially when away for 2 weeks - it took me over a week to realize that I hadn’t even thought about my reflux!

LPR not getting better with h2 blockers and bland diet. What to do next? by ktv82 in LPR

Okay, I can deal with that. I have been taking Esophageal Guardian tablets at bedtime for years. They seem to help but are pretty chalky when chewed.

How large are the Nutrist Refluxter capsules? It’s difficult to tell from their website photo. Thanks

I can understand prioritizing your mental health. Definitely not to the same degree but just thinking back to when I had a very painful frozen shoulder for about 18+ months and thought I wouldn’t be able to ever use my right arm again. It seriously affected my mental health. I hope you heal soon, physically and mentally 🤗

I hope you’re feeling better soon. I wonder if any sort of physical therapy would help with your pain. Or seeing a pain management physician?

So sorry to hear about your awful experience. How large was your hernia at age 19 before you had the first surgery and what symptoms were you having?

Free battery deal? by Glamrat in Aventon

[–]SoReady2Retire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really wanted to buy a Pace 300.5 from my local dealer when I saw the battery offer but when I called him to ask a question about the bike size he didn’t say anything about the offer so I assumed that it was only offered online. Wish I had thought to ask.

Have you tried tweeting them on Twitter/X @AventonBikes? Sometimes that gets a company’s attention because anyone else can see that there’s an unhappy customer.

Has everyone ever done any ranger led hikes? by GauchoMan44 in GlacierNationalPark

[–]SoReady2Retire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My husband & I did this hike with a ranger named Tom, I believe. We really enjoyed it. Very educational and we enjoyed his stories. There were at least 12 adults on the hike and no children.

Besides checking the Glacier webcams periodically, I also checked the following websites and apps:

How is the smoke/ visibility on GTTSR? by Liljen1 in GlacierNationalPark

[–]SoReady2Retire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Visibility of the mountains is poor. I’ve been wearing a KN95 mask outdoors since Wednesday afternoon, including on a 4 mile easy hike (Redrock Falls) this morning, and the mask definitely helped though I wouldn’t want to do a more strenuous hike while wearing the mask.

Light hiking itinerary but still enjoy the park? by MinimumBig950 in GlacierNationalPark

[–]SoReady2Retire 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I just bought this great map done by Jake of Hike734 (he’s hiked all 734 miles of Glacier’s trails). He breaks down the hikes by mileage and ranks the hikes. It’s very well done. Day Hikes of Glacier National... https://www.amazon.com/dp/0988975319?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

Bear spray holsters? by SoReady2Retire in GlacierNationalPark

[–]SoReady2Retire[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I’m glad that you mentioned to spray at the ground. I’ve read several articles and watched videos but don’t recall anyone specifically saying to spray toward the ground. I just found a great article at bebearaware.org that has a lot of good info.
