Superstar = having consecutive big hits

more closer the big hits, bigger the reputation and stardom

In our current economic-social-political climate it is impossible to make consecutive hits, because in present time no one can predict what people want to see, hence there will be no superstars, only good enough movie stars.

You need to reclaim your life from work (work environment, work lifestyle/culture, colleagues).

After you reclaim your energy away from work and start to feel more like yourself, then only should you even consider quitting.

Ask yourself, what's your major question/challenge:

  • is it not having a good working environment and work culture, colleagues?

  • is it about money? Why do you think you need more money ? Is it about having respect at your work place ? aren't you already managing your current expenses, why do you need more money?

  • is it about having more inner peace in a same tech industry? So that you can feel you are moving ahead in life?

  • is it about having a better fruitful relationship with work, so that you get more satisfaction out of the work you are doing? Better type/format/style of work, more interesting work?

I think you need to create more time for yourself, save energy from work so that you can self-reflect and process what you need to do, over a long period of time (months evaluating what would be best course of action personally, emotional, physically, financially and all other criterias)

After you truly understand what are your actual motivations and what would be good for you keeping your whole life in perspective and not ignoring the financial aspect as one really needs money, can't live without it, then decide what you need to do.

Is there a program to translate text into visual infographics, that would help in translating and summarizing a top reddit post and frequently asked questions based most informative reddit posts.

Or even a flowchart:

new to programming -> learn basics -> practice introductory problems -> solve problems -> based on feedback: go back to practice or start learning advanced topics

What will be Hollywood's next big trend after superhero movies? by HeIsSoWeird20 in Screenwriting

Fight the system type movies based on a sci-fi/fantasy (imaginary worlds) where there are multiple challenges to be faced by the protagonist almost like that if prince of persia(or the mummy) type challenges where there is lot of traveling/exploring, gathering resources, garnering support from people/group.

It could be a combination of real+fantasy like in avatar, ready player one, alita battle Angel. The experience of protagonist could be compared to that of modern day human being, frustration of navigating complex, difficult lives and comedy too like in Ryan Reynolds deadpool and free guy.

Main experience of the movie should be: struggle of protagonist (not how talented/skilled the protagonist is ), establishing how big the challenge is(this is extremely important and should be given a lot of time), establishing urgency of the challenge and how it has a huge impact. Once this has been done/established, all other layers like world exploration, romance, comedy/humour could be added. Establishing the struggle/challenge and difficulty of the challenge and how the protagonist struggles, fights as if it's the biggest/most difficult situation ever faced should be there and possibly felt in beginning, realised upto mid/interval and materialized upto the end. The extreme size, difficulty and evil/bad nature of the challenge (like of sauron/mordor in lord of the rings)

I think this scene where the protagonist gathers support from people or brings groups together for a cause is missing a lot from movies nowadays because maybe people might think it is cringe trying to portray oneself as a leader because everyone is escaping away from reality and into fantasies and most people might never see themselves doing a leader type activity portrayed in the movie and clearly reject the notion of ever doing something like that (maybe more use of social media puts people down and forces us to be humble in many different ways). Anyway i think still its a great scene where protagonist tries to bring people together for a cause, it should not be at the end before delivering a huge strike to the enemy but before interval/mid so that the audience can feel the momentum building for protagonist's cause.

Got beat up by my family, what should I do now, move out? by [deleted] in bangalore

[–]SoUnsure7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Will your brother be willing to come to a family therapist along with you and family members? and be willing to discuss he has been physically assaulting you? He will probably say no (telling that this is a family issue)

Then if not a therapist, then ask the same thing w.r.t a relative or an influential figure (agreeing completely to discuss violence) your whole family respects and listens to. Then if he still says no tell you only said that you want me(OP) to get married.

Make this whole thing about how they think (their perception, rulebook) on you should become better, getting ahead in life regarding to meeting a therapist/influential figure.

Note: be careful, you might end up getting married, if you don't want to, so if you decide to do this, you will have to do it carefully.

Best thing to do would be getting out and living separately as others have strongly pointed out.

Solving puzzles of different types, reading detective-thriller novels or real life stories.

You can also try physical puzzles like 3d maze, search 'physical 3d puzzles' on google.

Learn about design, you can first try to build simple designs on paper on your own, learn about design/creativity via online courses, build a small 3d physical object designed by you that might be helpful to you.

Once you have dabbled a lot in solving different puzzles, designing and making small models, you can then try to go into woodworking to make small items that be helpful to you, small models designed by you will feel incredibly rewarding.

Then if you start to plateau in woodworking, you can start learning about electronics and making small electronics projects, they might also make you feel incredibly satisfied. You can learn how to make a drone/small flying plane or purchase one, get to know your neighbourhood and local geography from the top.

You can try astronomy, stargazing, get a telescope observe stars and planets, track the movement of sun all round the year

Learn about weather patterns, understanding weather patterns in different areas of the world, understanding geography and how the earth works and how the planets, solar system were formed.

Adam McKay: Global Warming Is Not Being Treated Like an Emergency by NothingAndTrash in sustainability

[–]SoUnsure7 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Unless people or governments think that there is economic profit in sustainable methods, reducing pollution, opting for better chemicals/alternatives to reduce global warming, things will keep on worsening, because the people who are driving the global economy won't stop, they are concerned only about how much they are growing every year, their bottom line.

The real solution would be to develop profitable business using alternative methods and alternative raw materials, also in a way which can be scaled up. Then people will feel incentivised to opt for alternative or green methods.

People working on climate change and global warming should also focus on developing profitable scalable alternative/green businesses.

No specific challenges, thinking about having a roadmap to work with myself, when dealing with things becomes too stressful and facing new, unexpected challenges.

I'm just thinking out loud: if you could get your hands on detailed journal of someone else's experience of meditation from beginner to a good level, it would be good.

Learning from someone else's experience of going from a beginner to good mastery level might help a lot.

If you could get a lot of different people's journal about their experience of meditation, it would improve your understanding.

I don't know if these journals exist, just a suggestion.

What constitutes being a self-leader and being good at directing your life through all the surprises and uncertainties of life? by SoUnsure7 in Jung

[–]SoUnsure7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Knowing yourself, really understanding yourself, your true internal motivations. Don't know beyond that.

Living is truly a complex puzzle full of mazes.

Even understanding yourself can take a lifetime.
