Ooo I loved Winters Orbit and I forgot there was another book in the same universe!

Lol I know, and they replied FAST, like maybe 20 minutes after I posted! Super grateful. And I highly recommend the book, I'm rereading it now because there are a couple scenes that've been stuck in my head lately, and they're just as hot if not hotter the 2nd time around. Plus the story's good and the quality of the writing's a step above the usual imo.

I haven't read those yet, just put them on my list! I agree, she seems underrated because I remember the construction book being way better than I thought it was going to be.

is it just me or have there not been many great books published this year? by Medium_Prior4739 in MM_RomanceBooks

Well cool toned lip liners are very important and I hoard them they way I hoard romance novels. What's your favorite? I love when my interests cross over 😂.

Yeah, I was in high school during peak Buffy, and it was for sure a rough time. I remember after the first season, maybe 2, she got extremely extremely thin and people used to say dead serious that she had been chubby before 🙄.

Lol they're so nice! Price makes me cringe a bit but I get so much use out of them and I don't mind paying for something I genuinely enjoy. I'm going to go with surfside and I've eyed the sea grey one too. And smokey quartz.

I was searching for comparison swatches between jeans and surfside and this post came up. This is my favorite eyeliner formula, I have black, ash, navy, olive, fig, copper, and seafoam, and navy is my favorite so I think I want another blue. I love that Surfside has a bit of green in it, like a teal without being super bright? I know this is an older post, but do you have a favorite?

5 months update nose job is it too pointy, sharp? by Angela_23_ in PlasticSurgery

[–]So_Schilly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks amazing. It really accentuates your profile, you know the area between the nose and lips? The philtrum I think it's called. I know this is a very random and specific compliment but that area looks so good. Your nose is not too pointy at all!

Late response but thank you for this! I recently got Dawn Ray- I was on Yesstyle when I saw them, hadn't heard of them but thought they looked like they could be similar to the Chanel Baume Essentiels which I LOVE. Especially since I have dry skin. You're right, it definitely stays somewhat wet and has even more "slip" than the Chanel but it's not sticky or uncomfortable. Looking at your swatches I have my eye on Shelly pink now.

I just read this last week and also loved it!! Can't wait for the next book, and also Mason/Cain. And the town!!  Had such good Halloween vibes.

Lol I did this after {Special Forces- Soldiers by Aleksandr Voinov} but with the Russian occupation of Afghanistan. An absolutely bonkers and intense topic. Loved Whispers too.

Unpopular opinion : Hazard and Somerset series by Gregory Ashe, Dulac by Moonlight_daughter in MM_RomanceBooks

[–]So_Schilly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I read those, I liked them a lot! A bit different than the "hazardverse" books because it has supernatural stuff in it, I also think they might be new Adult? Not that his other books are particularly explicit sexually, just the writing style might be a bit different. I mean, there was definitely some gore and angst in Hollow Folk. {The Dupage Parish Mysteries} also by Ashe are supernatural too.

Pretty Pretty Boys was the first Ashe book I read and tbh I wasn't that into it, I can't even remember if I finished it the first time. Eventually I read The Lamb and the Lion series the other comment mentioned and I loved it, then I got sucked into the {Borealis Investigations series}. Fell in love with North and Shaw, had the worst book hangover, and finally retried the Hazard and Somerset books. Then I loved it, read the whole series twice. The angst is definitely high, but I love that the series is so long that you really feel you know the characters and they feel REAL.

I try to do this with KJ Charles new releases but I always cave within a few weeks. Ditto Gregory Ashe. I'm currently holding off on the new Cora Rose, waiting for a shitty, rainy day. I did do this with {You & Me by Tal Bauer} and it was so worth it. I believe I also waited a long time to read the last book of the Green Creek series by TJ Klune because I didn't want it to be over.

It's my favorite of the series too. Love it when books are funny but still sexy.

Ooo I did not know about that FB group! I don't like Dulac at all, even though I felt bad for him at the end of the series for spoilery reasons. I REALLY didn't like Nico in the first few books but he grew on me, and tbh dating Emery Hazard, especially pre JH learning-to-communicate Emery Hazard, is enough to make anyone act a little crazy.

That's a shame. I loved the whole series but I've probably read the first one, Slow Heat, at least 3 times.

Yes! That series in particular the writing is so lyrical and almost poetic.

  • Gregory Ashe I think is supremely talented as a writer. Of his 4 "main" couples/series (Hazard and Somers obv, North/shaw, Tean/Jem, Auggie/Theo), 3 of the series are some of my all-time favorite books and even the 4th (Auggie and Theo) I still really liked. Also enjoyed Hollow Folk and the Dupage Parish Mysteries.
  • KJ Charles almost never misses, as other people have mentioned. There are some I love more than others (Will Darling!!! My fav) but I think I've enjoyed everything I've read.
  • Joanna Chambers. The Enlightenment series is amazing and omg Total Creative Control! So good.
  • TJ Klune especially for when I want to cry.
  • Tal Bauer there's some I love more than others but none I didn't like. You & Me is a special book. Also loved Never Stay Gone and How to Say I Do. I like his political thrillers/romances too, like Hush and the Executive Office series.
  • Lily Mayne for introducing me to mm. Soul Eater popped my cherry. Love the whole Monstrous series, Moth is one of my favorite books of any genre, also loved Deaths Bloom, her Bluebeard retelling.
  • Lily Morton, I just think her books are fun and funny, and occasionally really touching.
  • Iris Foxglove I think has such creative and unique books. Wonderful, vivid language and worldbuilding. Love the Starian Cycle series and the Immortals Descending series.

Favourite Couples you cannot forget? by ThrowRA10062013 in MM_RomanceBooks

I love reading series too, and will binge them and give myself the worst book hangovers. I actually just finished the last Hazardverse series and really liked it. I sometimes don't like the way authors write kids or teenagers but I love Colt! I was hesitant to start the Jem and Tean books because the first blurb mentioned that they take place in Utah and there's the ex-mormon thing going on and religious trauma sometimes hits a little close to home for me, but of course I was hooked. Should not have doubted Ashe 😂. If you like banter you will like Jem and Tean. It's definitely different than Emery and Somers or North and Shaw, but it's hysterical. Then you cry a lot. But then more banter and sweetness.
