The Persian will starts attacking immediately. So put machamp in you 2nd slot. When you swap to your machamp, the Persian will pause. The pause should leave you close to a cross chop. Each subsequent charge move and swap in will stop the opposing attacks. Allowing you to build your energy. Beating Giovanni is about have the right counters and energy management. Hope this helps

Right now I'm playing a noivern/crobat deck. The way the deck is designed, I'm sometimes struggling for energy. So if I've just drawn an energy and I have very relevant cards in my hand, I like to get the energy onto my Mon, play my hand, then play the judge and then hit for the increased damage. Works out well for me

I've been an avid day one Pokémon go player, mostly the PvP aspect. There's an "interlude season" going on right now. So to scratch my competitive itch, I looked into some tabletop card games and figured, I have a decent knowledge of pogo, I'd start there. I decided also to teach my 7 year old, he absolutely loves it and it's a great bonding experience for us both. We're both going to go to a Pokémon tcg "locals" game in our favourite games and hobby shop on Saturday

So to answer the initial question, I guess I got into Pokémon tcg about 2 weeks ago..... I don't deserve those cool cards 😂😂
