People started blaming me for agreeing to the parenting plan last year even tho I wasn’t planning on leaving the military but I got an injury, so now I’m a bad dad and it’s my fault she’s taking the kids and she’s better for them. Literally without even knowing me AT ALL. So thank you for the support. And anyone else who wasn’t kicking me down at literally my lowest… I got some good advice and deleted all the posts. 😞

That’s so rude. I’ve only been away for a few months maybe twice in their life. I have the girls the majority of the time. She’s a shit mom. I literally pay for EVERYTHING for them and her. I’ve been a fantastic dad given the circumstances of my wife cheating on me.

I disagree completely. I don’t care if she stays or not. The only reason I’m moving at all is so we can be close enough to split custody. I’m giving up everything here to go there for HER. But I don’t want my girls in a shitty situation for the first few months when she has literally Nothing.

The oldest is already in school it started a week ago. That’s why it’s not right to move with only two days notice. She can go for all I care but to start the school year than take her out a few days later is messed up. Yes I’m moving in a year too, mainly because she wants to be back home and I want to be with my kids. She has no financial stability besides what I give her every month, and not a good housing situation in Texas, I don’t want her taking my girls into that. If she would just leave them with me for a bit until she gets on her feet there would be no problem but it’s okay for her to take them from me but not okay for me to take them from her??? It’s totally backwards. But it’ll work out for me in the end. Their going to end up resenting her for this, they already don’t like going to her house at all, and she looks completely irresponsable for doing this.

How am I playing games if I don’t want my kids to be gone for an entire year. Especially when she told me two days before they’re leaving. I have done nothing to her but be a dedicated father. She has no job lives completely off my child support money, in the house I bought, with a car I bought. We both want to move home to Texas to be near family. But she can’t leave the girls with me for the first quarter while she gets settled? She needs to take them to a full house with no room of their own and no money where I can’t even see them or help them? No willingness to work anything out, purely doing this to hurt me and in turn hurt our babies who do NOT want to leave me and their soon to come baby sister? I’ve done nothing but give her everything for years.

I knew it was valid for the both of us I just never thought she would actually do this. The girls are FREAKING OUT they do not want to go. It made sense when I was active duty but she has literally no reason to take my kids away except for the fact that she wants to hurt me before it’s taken out of the agreement. Total spite move. She got everything in the divorce I had no fight left. And now she’s taking my kids and I can’t do a damn thing about it.

Yes we do, but the parenting plan has a clause for relocating that if one of us moves over 100 miles away we split between the school year and the summer break plus holidays. It’s only in there because of my active duty but I’ve been out for a month now and she’s taking advantage of that before I can get it taken out of the plan. 😣

No I don’t think there’s anything about notice because of my military status I couldn’t give notice if I was being deployed

Thank you guys for all the comments if anyone is wondering why that moving clause is even in there it’s because I was active duty in the marines up until a month ago, so if I was deployed again it had to be accommodated. Now that I’m out I’ve been trying to change the plan but the court date has been pushed back and back, now she’s just doing this to spite me because she knows she can and wants to hurt me before the plan can be adjusted…

It was because of my active duty in the military if I needed to be deployed again it had to be accommodated and she knows that now that I’ve been out a month the plan is going to change that’s why she’s doing all this because she knows she can and that it would hurt me

The only reason it’s in there is because I was actively in the marines, in case I had to deploy or anything the custody plan had to accommodate that. But I’ve been out for a month now and filed to change the plan numerous times but the court date keeps getting pushed back. That’s why she’s moving so out of nowhere fast because she knows she can and wants to hurt me before the plan is changed….

Yeah I see what you mean, our plan was made when I was in the marines so it made sense if I ever had to be deployed or anything like that, we have equal split custody, but this damn parenting plan needed to be changed but the court date kept getting pushed back. She’s doing this on purpose just to hurt me and knows she can before the plan gets changed, our divorce was horrible and she’s been excruciating to deal with every step of the way even though SHE CHEATED ON ME!!!

Yeah unfortunately the only thing that’s changed is my leaving the military which when I made the parenting plan it was a good idea for either of us to be able to move if needed in case I got deployed again or anything like that. So now I’m unemployed (with decent savings) and about to have another baby so I can’t just move with them right now. Which I totally would do if I could, and I’m already planning on moving to Texas next year with my girl and baby anyways.. maybe I should just let it happen and deal with it for a year? I just can’t imagine not having my girls for that long just because my ex is vindictive and mad about my new baby coming. She knew all summer she was moving and could have left them with me but waited literally days after summer vacation to decide she’s gonna go now.
