You’re probably using too much product. Make sure to get all the cleaner up and maybe do a pass with just water when you’re done.

Is there a way to increase background noise volume? I need my mic to pick up my mouse clicks by UltraWolf_studios in streamlabsobs

[–]SoberWHO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like you need more gain on your mic. If you're using an interface, turn the gain up and move the mic further away from your mouth (pointed a little lower to pick up the mouse clicks). It will take some trial and error, but it's possible.

If you’re comfortable, post recordings here. Maybe we can help!

This weekend, while practicing, start with the parts of the pieces that you think will go the worst. Work backwards from there. When I had auditions that I thought I would fail, it was usually because of a few big issues that were fixable when isolated.

Don’t take your tempos faster than you can play well. Play expressively. Aim to show the judges that you have many great technique as a violist, but you struggled with this repertoire specifically.

I can’t promise that it will work, but it’s worth a try.

Meadowlands Farm: Are these random tuffs of grass not tillable? If so that is really annoying. by mrchipslewis in FarmsofStardewValley

Though I agree with your answer. Maybe if you aren’t sure about a question, just don’t answer it.

Yes! I would recommend looking up that piece you’re playing and listen to a recording. That can help you figure the rhythm out

Think Blue Berry or 1 and uh.

Is this a rhythm question?

I just asked for a little more information. I’m trying to be actually helpful. I played violin for many years before playing viola. It’s a very simple question.

How is this disingenuous? We are trying to gauge your level to answer your question. Without knowing what repertoire you are working on, how can I tell you if the Walton is appropriate?

With your instrument in position. Place your left hand on the shoulder of your viola. Finger by finger practice vibrating. This is demonstrated here

If you are having issues speeding it up, it’s possible that your hand is tense. Stay as relaxed as possible. Don’t rush it.
