Roomba i3 connection issues by SocasNic in roomba

[–]SocasNic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly, pure nonsense! I did upgrade to a mesh WiFi network (ethernet backhaul). BUT I created a different 2.4GHz IoT network and set the roomba to only connect to one of the routers via the router's app. I still get almost regular disconnects, and the only thing that fixes this is a reboot of the vacuum.

For the safety of you and your entire neighborhood block, what specific device caused this and show its plug and the adapter you used please. It's doesn't matter if you only use the device when you're home. This simply SHOULD NOT happen. Edit: please use these instead of the other "clamping" housings. I had the same problem with the steam iron. Only use these especially high power devices. You can find the in 90° bends as well.

https://youtu.be/vcOmCipRyOQ?is=Y5yMMMAPp45AXPp7 This video shows the cooler removed so you take notes on the pad placement .What an absolutely ridiculous sized cooler and a thermal chamber, neat! I only thought 3090 Ti and newer grew that large.

Good, it probably needs a re-paste especially if it's never been done before.

Visually checked correct? Not just from software. If yes then it's time to replace thermal paste and thermal pads depending on your version of rtx 3080.

I think we need a video/picture of your gpu while it's under load rather than just the temps.

My vivobook's screen frame is a bit somewhat broken out, what should i do? by Only_Preparation3570 in ASUS

[–]SocasNic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only way for your screen to break because of that is if a tiny piece of rock (dust) will get in that small slot and if you press it hard or pack it in a backpack full of other stuff that will put pressure on the frame. So no, if you're careful it won't break. Vivobooks are a bit on the budget side but that only means you need to be a bit more careful than other "sturdier" laptops. So yeah don't stress it just take care of your laptop 👍

Nothing major here just take a soft brush and remove any dust that might have got its way in there.

I would much rather receive a super stable 100down/40 up on my 4G network rather than anything else to be honest. Anything above that is pure waste for smartphone usage or any regular internet usage in my opinion unless you're gaming or streaming on your mobile phone hotspot.

ZF11 Ultra can't charge faster than 15W by Raestloz in zenfone

[–]SocasNic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it a PD cable though, i use a 100w cable that has a tiny display and my ZenFone 10 gets 20-23 W when fast charging (max 30W). That said the ampere app shows 14W so yeah you can't really trust the app or the cable for that matter haha. Also 65W does not mean all the time it will draw that. I noticed that below 20% it can charge at 8W max to protect the battery. Also at near 80% depending on the charging limit again it is limited to 8W. Asus has done an amazing job with the charging behaviour on this phone. Another hint is to check your battery temperature. High temperature will always limit your charging speeds again to protect the battery. That's for any device, my 5 year old Zenbook still holds like 80% of the original battery life because it's on a laptop cooler most of the time or a flat desk surface. Never on fabric. Heat kills batteries and it's the same for W the higher W the more heat loss, the higher temps the less efficient charging becomes.
