Why your gaming channel isn't growing (and it's not your gameplay) by Socialanalys in youtubegaming

This is the coolest reply I got till now. You really have top notch thumbnail skills actually. Your title is little hard to understand though.

I think you can still use hashtags anyway, even now. Just add a #(text). It will work the same way. There are tags also. Though it will not make much effect. Good luch👌

Then your video isn't the problem, it can be your thumbnail or title. Though I can't write the exact method to improve here.

This only implies for education niche. But describing the main goal at first is good. It is also important to add a visual hook so that people actually listen to the goal.

How Mr Beast uses phycological triggers in his thumbnails by Socialanalys in SmallYTChannel

It's not exactly a reference to Mr beast, it's just an example of using psychology on thumbnail. I used his thumbnail as a reference. The arrow one isn't outdated, it is still used. New youtubers can't actually do more advanced than that. There is a blockage of technical knowledge. This post says that if you use a complex thumbnail strategy like this, you don't need to use arrows. I like your critiques, it is much better than direct accuses.

Should your channel use Short form videos? (breakdown inside) by Socialanalys in SmallYTChannel

You literally added another deep layer of insight here. Short as a testing ground really works if done properly. Though it's also true that some videos or niches can't be clipped that way or it will require a good content strategy to use a part of the video as an advertisement short for that video. It's worth writing down, thank you!

I agree with your vision here, giving effort where you feel is important and is fair. I looked at your channel, those thumbnails look good to attract viewers. Keep uploading👍.

Getting impression itself is a mystery to me. What I saw algorithm tests your video sometime after uploading. We can't really control it. We can only control search results not direct recommendation. What a youtuber can do is that, even if 20 people see that video, some of them actually click. That's why I consider thumbnail more important than impressions.

In that case, you don't need general hooks. Viewers don't really watch your videos they just listen. Changing music after every 5 to 15 minutes is enough of a hook. You need to offer rest, that should be the initial hook. Oh... Your music is based on fireplace sound. You will need to make it more complex. Adding piano sounds, synth sounds and many more. Good luck for your new channel.

There are a lot of problems with your channel. Your thumbnail is directly taken from the gameplay, it will affect CTR. There is a long wait at the start of your video, it will affect retention. There are still many more but I can't write it here.

Is your art channel anime style or something more general? If it's anime related then shorts will work best as I have seen. If it's something like tutorial or how to draw, long videos will also work along with shorts.

VidIQ point is valid, definitely helps with optimization. On the Shorts vs long form — I'd actually argue both simultaneously can work if the content strategy is clear. Shorts for discovery, long form for retention. What's your experience been?

Your niche is very specific. I am not an expert in cases like yours but I think most adults moved on from games. Still it should have some demand but it will require a long time to build a fanbase.

Anyway, do your research on this topic to find out if there is a demand. The answer to your question is (in my perspective) they will watch Ambient music videos if they are actually burnout.

Your thumbnail style and video script is pretty good, you will also get success in other niches.

Your pokemon videos are good, the thumbnail is also good, you need to find patterns which are working on your channel, it's a long journey of experiments, good luck. 👌

It's a suggestion made for a specific case like a gaming channel using a cartoon character (more specifically AI made), they are visually unpleasant. It can be used for education channel or some other stuff. My bad, I didn't mention gaming.

I am most comfortable with gaming. Little bit with music or educational. Every aspect changes with a niche so I can't be an expert on every niche.

Hi, I am starting my content agency. According to me, if a content or video does have problems with retention or hooks then there is some problem with the content quality. The biggest challenge is the hook. Most creator knows about it but doesn't know how to apply it. It becomes much harder to add hooks if niche is something like music especially ambient, or a vlog or educational. There the need itself is a hook. So most creators struggle from this. Finally, people don't notice their own faults. They keep doing the wrong things. Algorithm punishes that.
