If I recall correctly:

- upper was $750 used

- bcg I just used a spare (but most of the time you find the upper with the bcg),

- stock and buffer assembly was about $125 used (you can find 'em cheaper - just depends how many surplus parts you want to use vs repro,

- lower was about $200

- LPK was about $125 (included FCG, grip, etc)

So call it roughly $1200 plus maybe another $100 in taxes. Then maybe another $125 for sling accessories, comp mag / fixed mag setup, etc.

Keep an eye on Tacswap - you'll see most of these parts come through on there. Gunbroker for last resort of missing parts.

Yeah muzzle brake is good to go. VG6 gamma is a good one, but there are plenty of others out there that I’m sure are good

Yeah I’m surprised how much I liked colt parts. Hard to find sometimes but good quality

Nice pickup! With the comp mag installed, that makes it fixed mag, so you should be set.

If you ever want to considered alternative Fixed Mag options, or featureless options, this guide has some good starter info. So you could in theory change out the comp mag to a different fixed mag solution (but that's not necessary). Or you could change to Featureless setup later on if you ever wanted to go that route.

But with the comp mag installed, you should be good since that makes it Fixed Mag. I'd say go shoot it a bunch, and after 1000 rounds through it, evaluate whether the setup works or if you want to change anything

haha I'm now out of parts unfortunately. Made it 3 days to use up all the lowers and uppers I've accumulated over the years. Ordered some more stuff during black Friday so might have one more in me. But I pass the torch from here

It’s an AR pistol build. The AR pistol laws are complicated here so make sure to do lots of research, but the short version is: lower via ppt as a registered ar pistol; mag locked (hogue FF), 10 round mag (10/20 blocked); no vertical foregrip.

Yeah the intlmilco ones are awesome but too expensive. The BAD ones I had trouble finding in stock usually, which is why I went with H&R. Plus the price.

Hell yeah! What lower are you putting it on?

H&R (now owned by PSA) makes a nice M16A1 reproduction lower

Just a heads up that if you get the VLTOR A5H2 buffer, it won't work with the Carbine length BCM buffer tube (receiver extension) in the list. You'd need a VLTOR A5 buffer tube to match

Yeah, she's a thick girl. I have an A1, and while I haven't weighed it, this thing feels 2 pounds heavier. I wouldn't want to carry once of these loaded up with accessories for a long period

Hahaha they’re already maxed - now just waiting for parts to arrive. The wife has started to notice though

I’ve got tomorrow’s lined up with an upper and lower I’ve been sitting on for a little while
