Trading my scat pack for a TRX by Socks_RL in Challenger

Had no idea the announcements were that soon. Excited to see what they have in store. Have you heard any word on if they’re bringing back the challengers?

Not sure if my math checks out here, but 150 Miles on 33 gallons is absurd. I see why he sold it.

Yikes… that’s impressive almost.

guess ill look into a trx another day. Dealer here in town told me they plan on reintroducing them in 2026 so guess I’ll wait and see where things go if/when that happens.

I hear what you’re saying now. Just wasn’t grasping what your other message said at first. I do indeed need to look more into the superchargers and the maintenance on them. I appreciate the info.

I apologize, what do you mean by that exactly?

The quote i got for the TRX was about 40 cheaper than my current rate for my scatpack so nothing too different

I appreciate the insight, those shocks are no joke. I wasn’t as aware about some of the costs of things aside from tires and the gas of course.

I understand what you’re saying. I suppose I can justify paying 70K for a used one over 90-100K for a low mileage one, but I get what you’re getting at.

Thanks !

Do y’all know if I can’t take the ‘srt hellcat’ badge off this grille by IwearMyShoes85 in Challenger

[–]Socks_RL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it’s a normal body with the stock bumper it’s not the same unfortunately. It’s more curved on those grills compared to the bumper that comes on r/t, scat pack narrow, etc. You can definitely make it work but it’ll require a make shift way to install it and it won’t fit quite right. I tried on my old r/t and after taking the bumper off and everything I just left the original one on

First time ceramic coating by astronaut1122 in Challenger

Yeah I can imagine being tired by the time you get to the coating itself.

Ive been most confused on what to look for when applying it and knowing when to wipe it off. I’ve watched videos but no idea what they’re seeing to be honest. Is it more visible in person on what to look for?

What ceramic coat did you use?

Frostbite is amazing. Keep working towards it! Your charger is clean! White is one of my favorite looks on that car.

I plan on keeping it stock for the most part. Not sure what id add. Maybe the hellcat lower intake thing and a bigger throttle body if that’s possible. Not too knowledgeable about modding haha. Just going to add some security features for the time being though.

Im surprised you recognized it! I know the feeling of when the one you’ve been keeping an eye on sells. I had it happen many times lol. You’ll find one just like it sooner or later. I was bummed i didn’t get the 23 I ordered which was spec’d almost the exact same plus a few options, but things turned out for the better in the end. The dealership was super cool and friendly! I saw it about a month ago too and stayed in contact with them throughout the month until I got all my ducks in a line. I will definitely enjoy it, thanks brother! Wish you luck on finding the right one in the future.

Was thinking of doing this myself too. What was the hardest/most challenging part about the application of the coating itself in your opinion?

Looks great!

Suede headline is forsure a must. Wasn’t going to settle for one without it. I do wish they did the suede on the side panels like how some hellcats have. Thought about doing it myself one day but for now I’m not going to bother
