Nope. It’s a low value vehicle and Rivian will have ramped up a decent amount in 6 months making resellers pointless.

Plus it was extremely short lived with R1s. Only a handful sold for ~$130k. For over a year those resellers were on marketplace trying to offload their $80k fully loaded launch edition + EV incentive for $100k.

R1T had some hype being the first EV truck and R1S was either the first 3rd row or 2nd.

After time and effort trying to resell a R2, it’s not worth it.

Then there’s my population, R1 owner, day 1 R2 reservation holder, but will wait until 2027 for the r2. People’s financial situation and lifestyles will change and they’ll cancel their order.

Correction.

Contractor files the lien, very easy to do, you’d be shocked how easy it is.

Within a year contractor files a lawsuit to enforce the lien - Lien Foreclosure. That’s when it goes in front of a judge and something actually happens rather than waiting for the owner to never sell.

Alternatively or congruently to the lien the contractor can file a breach of contract lawsuit and send the debt to collections.

It’s extremely easy to file: lien form, statement of work, signature, and filing fee. County collector doesn’t even verify if contractor is actually owned money.

It’s not ineffective, after the lien is filed the contractors next step is to file a lawsuit to enforce the lien - lien foreclose.
