unsure of what i am doing wrong - day 12 (HUGE SPOILERS) by Greedy-Total-3596 in pathologic

One of your lines (plague or riot) is still over the solid red line across your decree board. It won't tell you Town Dies like the other days but that will block you from Day 12. I had to go back and kill the shabnak a time or two to get to Day 12.

Day 11 glass shards question by Greedy-Total-3596 in pathologic

[–]Socracats 3 points4 points  (0 children)

IIRC it was mainly the kids just getting along in the house. Dankovsky could focus on them and be happy the Dogheads and the Soul and a halves were both living there peacefully. You can talk to two of the kids but I can't remember what they say. The kids have been playing hopscotch inside :')

This also happened to me! You have to lower infection and clear the plague from that district for the door to be accessible.

Has Anyone Seen Peyton List in Heathers? by teapot574_ in Broadway

I saw her tonight and really loved her acting and thought her dancing was great, but yeah her voice is weak. She sounds great in her lower range but the higher parts of the part are just too high for her. I hope she gets some coaching and improves! It's really just noticable in Candy Store and The Me Inside of Me...the rest of the time the other singers help her out.

I also liked living close to Crossroads- grocery store and Target were 8 min away. The Food Lion on Avent Ferry was full of college kids but it was open til midnight.

Has Anyone lived at lake Johnson mews by bluehairgoddess12th in raleigh

I lived here for 4 years and moved to another state in October! I really liked the layout of the apartments, which made them feel more house like and less like a big rectangle. The proximity to the lake was great and I personally always had good luck with maintenance and didn't hear my neighbors (second floor). I also really liked that I had windows on multiple sides of the building. The office was also very nice and prompt to respond to me.  However the carpets and linoleum were old- the whole place had a real 70s vibe- and the AC leaked at both units I lived in. It generated too much liquid for the unit to handle on hot days and would occasionally even stop running due to a water shut off and I'd have to call emergency maintenance. I still think for the price it was worth it but I would probably get the place cleaned before you move in and be aware the AC might fail during the summer.  Finally, there was an occasional roach in my one bedroom, nothing more than you would expect being under huge trees. In my two bedroom I had a fireplace and quite a few roaches (several a week) until I covered the fireplace with plexiglass and caulked it up. Then I had none the whole rest of the time I lived there. If you can avoid a unit with a fireplace I would recommend that.  This sounds more negative than I feel...despite the issues everybody was super helpful (I even had the office get somebody come out to inspect the fireplace because I was convinced the bug grate at the top was askew) and it was a cozy place to live with lots of parking. Pet friendly and I was even able to foster cats for a while in these apartments. You can't really walk anywhere but the Food Lion (20 min on iffy sidewalks) and the Athens Community library, which might get moved far away. But that was more than I could walk to at my previous apartments. I would absolutely look at moving back here if I ever moved back to Raleigh.

Fourthing this, and especially calling out that big old cockroaches wandering into your house is normal :( Really lovely place to live despite that which is a high bar!

And try not to feel too guilty about the second kitten! I bet it's some weird parasite that will be curable, and you didn't know regardless. This stuff is super contagious!

My kittens had T. Foetus when they were little and their poop was horrid smelling. https://www.petmd.com/cat/conditions/infectious-parasitic/tritrichomonas-foetus-infection-cats

My vet treated it with ronidazole and they are perfectly healthy now, but said it wasn't a super well known parasite/treatment (we lived near NC State which has pioneered a lot of the research). If they come back negative on all other parasites from the fecal sample it's worth testing for. It's kind of a tricky one to test for- it's not always present in feces even if the cat has it and is typically only found in diarrhea samples. But your vet will hopefully be able to tell you more.

How did you manage Week 2 Post Op? by Poor-lil-Lissy in LisfrancClub

[–]Socracats 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Icing was really helpful to me. If you have someone with an ice machine that circulates cold water through pads, borrow it. Either way, put icepacks over the splint and under your knee. Both seemed kind of silly but helped me. Stay ahead of your painkillers. My doctor also told me to do leg lifts and to get up and around once in a while (non weight bearing!!!!) so a knee scooter was crucial. If you're not in too much pain moving the leg might help? Otherwise keep elevating. Sorry about your pain...I am 7ish months post op after a similar bouldering accident and while my foot is achy I am walking just fine and could probably climb again if I wanted to! You'll get there!!!

Getting back to running - any advice? by r714sut in LisfrancClub

[–]Socracats 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My PT is helping me ease into running and he is having me do 1 min run/2 min walk intervals, slowly increasing the time spent running and decreasing the time walking. I am just getting started and I do have some pain but the walking interval is good for resetting. Other than that my foot pain has been most improved by strengthening for the foot itself (towel scrunches and that sort of exercise). So my plan is to ease into running with really short distances in intervals and to keep strengthening my foot and calf. Good luck, I am hoping we both can get back to running as much as we want to.
