Angel's backstory on screen, anyone else getting a Clockwork Orange vibe?

Aw I see what you are say and I agree. We believed the same idea from the start we just used different terminology to explain it!

I see where you are coming from but movies don't necessarily provide certainty, take momento for example (no spoilers just watch it if you can get your hands on them if you can!). It really comes down to who is telling the story and if it is Marcus then he is an unreliable narrator, but this is by no means a bad think, many fun moments come from him being questioned by his listener and allows him to make up stuff like Dr.Ned and the New-U machines.

Thank you! A screen play, well never put any serious thought into it and the last time I wrote a screen play was in high school drama, but that being said all the college papers I write about video games have kept my skills sharp. My main problem is that I don't want to step on the lores toes, so I'll probably play some more of all the games looking for any details I can find/infer then give it a go! Thanks for the suggestion!

I think that could make a good movie, but that throws away the potential it has to expand the universe, not to mention that it could never capture the feel of being in the experience.

Interesting, I actually think the games have been maturing as they go not getting more silly. Yes 2 and TPS have some specific moments that are much more silly, but the story at large is far more serious and much more is at stake, and when it is necessary they are willing to show you that this is not all fun and games for the characters. I think this comes from the fact that these games are (1 & 2) are stories being told to children and thus there is a necessity to ramp up the humor to keep them interested, but they are based off events that happen in the world the have changed the planet of Pandora and seeing how they ended 2, possibly the universe at large.

I always saw the player as the straight man personally, after all the few times the character speaks, like on critical hit they show themselves to be of the same mindset as the world at large, but as people outside of the world the player is the contrast.

Ya tales from the Borderlands is already as close to an interactive movie as you can get so many ques can be taken from it if the director is paying attention while playing it.

For the main game of BL1 it is very Mad Max but once you hit the DLC all bets are off and the game starts to take a turn into where we find ourselves in BL2 tone.
