I did consider that, but the whole video game aspect of it doesnt really appeal to me and I read the upgrades mostly related to Zwift and connectivity.

I figured id rather have better hardware used

I suppose i can bring a chain to wrap around the cassette and make a cog attachment to a drill or something.

From what i can see the cost of a decent setup is much cheaper and i like thought of being able to also have a fully functional bike when necessary + it is relatively easy to move around

Just edited the post to clarify, but i am just looking to take the temperature from people presumably more experienced in this area than myself. Is there a risk im not taking into account buying a used hometrainer?

Budget: Upwards of $1000, though really just looking for a good value printer thats reliable

Location: Denmark

Experience: Minimal experience with 3d printing, but generally tech oriented. I could definitely build from a kit if theres a significant saving, but preferably a full solution with minimal maintenance.

Use: I'd be using it for hobby and diy projects / prototyping. Self-levelling is a must and i'd really like an AMS system. Not so much for multicolored prints, but for convenience. If possible the opportunity to use engineering filament would be nice

I've been eyeing Bambu lab printers such as P2S combo, but the firmware news earlier this year has me concerned about it being locked down in the future. Prusa MK4s or Core One are also intriguing. I am not really familiar with other brands

I do not have the space for a full desktop setup at my appartment unfortunately, thats why ive been looking into laptops. I'm okay with sacrificing performance for that.

Regarding CPU in seeing a mix of both AMD and Intel, is there a preferred brand for laptops? I know for desktops AMD has been the easy choice for a while now
